DC Multiverse The Suicide Squad Photo Shoot

The Suicide Squad is getting ready to drop on HBO Max and in theaters this week, so time to take a look at the DC Multiverse figures from McFarlane Toys! The first round of figures have Harley Quinn in her dress get up, Bloodsport masked and unmasked, Peacemaker masked and unmasked, Polka Dot Man and the Collect to Build King Shark if you get all 4. On top of that, King Shark is also being sold stand alone as a Gold Label Walmart exclusive.

We’ve run all of them for a set of pics thanks to McFarlane Toys, read on for some additional quick thoughts and over 70 HD images!

Quick Thoughts:

Harley Quinn – not a bad fig. Would prefer the suited look but for what it is, well done. There were a lot of sub par Harley figs at mass retail during the last couple years, but this one executes the look. The face sculpt is really solid for a 20-25 dollar fig. Lack of guns is stupid, though this pole thing is in the trailers.

Bloodsport – I am eager to see Idris Elba rock it in the movie, but as a fig a little generic. He’s good DCEU filler on a shelf. Unmasked is not quite there capturing his likeness. Certain angles you can see it. Both versions come with the CTB parts, but do have different packaging. Lack of guns is stupid.

Peacemaker – Very sculpty. Seems like it was cut from a very posed out base sculpt. Cena’s shoulders and chest are flexed out, arms are curved even in straight position, legs also have a curve in resting pose. Unmasked is like 50% there. Masked does capture his likeness for the lower part of the face. Both versions come with the CTB parts, but do have different packaging. Lack of guns here REALLY stupid since his thing is a giant chrome gun. The axe that comes with the unmasked is pretty cool tho.

Polka Dot Man – If you are looking for a Polka Dot Man action figure, this is one. It’s well executed for what it is. Likeness is in the zone. Polka Dot beam works. Wasn’t on my personal wish list, even from this movie’s line up.

King Shark – NICE. This is the star of the wave. Clean version, and then a bloody version solo packed at Walmart. Bloody comes with limbs for him to chomp on. Articulation is there, but limited in lower half by the shorts. Captures look of movie, mouth closed is doofy or open it up to be a tough guy. Keeping the bloody one out for shelf.

Bottom line – Above average for a movie wave before the flick opens. Lack of guns stink. This rule – if there is one – should be adjusted for teen+ collectibles. Check em out, then pick and choose based on your tastes. All do the job if you are into the look, movie, or characters.
