I think now that her regular show she was on is now cancelled, hopefully this will free her up to do shield, and I really hope they make him look strong Deathlok instead of this weakling and he sides with Shield.

Ok that episode was pretty good 2 left till the Season Finale... On the plus side the said Season Finale not Series Finale which means season 2 is coming.

Three things I learned... Never get in a Car with Coulson. Skye is the Smartest Agent. Melinda May is going to kill Ward

After Hill's speech about how there is no underground Shield that Coulson should just come work with her because it's all over I think she's out of the game until Avengers 2. She said Fury is dead and we know that she knows better. She also said that was the only secret off-books Fury Shield base and we know that isn't true. I guess it's still possible.

It was officially announced a month or so ago.

I love how they tied into Cappy 2. I wish they'd do some ender that tied into Guardians...

I never trust internet announcements until the Show says it

Ok who is going to release DeathLock???

The woman in the Flower Dress - I thinks shes going to do it through some newly gained feeling of good judgement. She is showing that she made a mistake siding with the Clairvoyant

Skye - Skye originally talked the man who became Deathlock into being a hero. And with Fitz and Simmons sinking to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico shes the Tech person with Shield

Ward - With his final breath he sets Deathlock loose

Definitely good news and I'd be very surprised if they didn't get renewed. Disney would have been foolish to not keep the connection show going between this show and the marvel movies.

Looking forward to the season finale and to see what happens next.

Hopefully in Season 2 they will explore Skye's past as a season-long story arc.

HIMYM wasn't cancelled - the show simply ended.

Agreed looking forward to today's episode, and my bad I meant to say ended.

Semantics. Her show is over. Only difference is that they knew in advance. They actually wanted to end the story a couple of years ago but the network make them commit for two more seasons, which basically ruined the show lol. Completely different thread though.

With the direction AoS is going I'm not sure there would be a place for Hill unless Shield is reformed. It does seem she will be fairly involved in the movies so maybe the best we can hope for 2-3 episodes in a season.

No, it's not just semantics. It's the difference between quitting with a 2-week notice and getting fired. Seinfeld wasn't cancelled, nor was Lost, Breaking Bad or any other show that went out on its own terms.

Yeah, I don't see her becoming a regular cast member any time soon, but I do see her showing up more often in cameos since she is supposedly going to be working as private security for Tony Stark now. They can easily write her in and out as needed to help the team with a mission or whatever.

Unless recent events and whatever happens in the season finale have removed that option for her, of course.

I'm really excited for season 2 now. I'll miss Fitz but I guess they felt the cast was too large. The finale was great and pretty funny. Fury had a decent amount of screen time that's something I never expected for this show.

Most shows that go "out on their terms" are still technically canceled. For most shows the network has a contract that would allow them to force the creators and actors to produce more seasons, they decide not to and give them advance notice to wrap up or simply decide how much longer they feel the show will be viable. The Seinfelds the extreme rarity where an actor has that much control and shut things down despite being more profitable than ever. Even then the network could keep most shows going if they felt like it after actors and creators leaves because they have rights to alter or reboot it. It's happened plenty enough. Telling a show in advance it has another season or two before it goes off the air it just canceling it in advance, typically because they think that's the most they can milk out of a concept. As far as the network execs are concerned every time a show ends it's because they cancel it, even if reluctantly lol.

the Office is an example of a show that continued after the main guy left. But any way back on topic.. The whole Fury/ Coulson Back and fourth was priceless. I'm glad we finally saw what that gun could do after Coulson threatend Loki with it. Next season at least to the Mid Season break will focus on Skye and the Rebuilding of SHIELD with a tie in to Guardians at some point. After the Mid Season expect build up to The Avengers 2 which I hope includes some introduction of Vision, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver and hopefully some show of Deathlock.

Need to catch up, but Fitz is gone for good? Kind of glad:P And yes they had a few too many folks on there. Although I guess he was the Q to the whole team, but we really didn't need 2 brainiacs on the team.

I think it's basically this. It's not for certain that he is gone but it makes sense. They've basically set up him to be in a coma or suffering from brain damage. They've left themselves a way to explain why he isn't there next season and it would surprise me if they bring him made instead of spending his salary elsewhere. I thought that having two tech geeks on the team was somewhat unique but also surprised they did it. I thought one of them would go through the stereotypical "training to become a field agent" type of thing. I guess that character was already Skye (actually a techie as well). If they decide they want to keep him a recover is an option but it was clearly the noble sacrifice of his life for the woman he loves. Not the first time we've seen that happen for a character that a show didn't think worked as well as they wanted.

Fitz and Simmons were both geniuses, true, but experts in different fields. Fitz covered engineering and was the weapons tech, while Simmons covered life sciences and served as the team's de facto medic. I found the pair of them much more realistic than having one scientific genius on the team that has all the answers.

As for Skye, her expertise is in information technology, which is also outside of both Leo and Gemma's respective fields.

EDIT: And in my eyes, all of the S.H.I.E.L.D. team members were already qualified field agents (again, in different areas). To do the "training to become a field agent" plot, Skye was the only choice available.

Now who's arguing semantics?

With HIMYM specifically, the show's staff chose to end the series when they did, not the network. CBS actually had to throw more money at them to get the 9th and final season done, as the cast and crew originally planned on doing no more than eight.

So if cancellation is when a network decides to stop production on a series, then I am correct when I say HIMYM was not cancelled.

Honestly the Majority of shows get cancelled in season 1. It all depends on staying power. I personally watch shows that have characters I care about. Once Upon a Time, Smallville, Dallas, Turn, Agents of SHIELD. I lost interest in Sleepy Hallow and Arrow.

Agreed 100%.

I actually like Fitz's character a lot.

Hope he returns.

I saw the lead as a bit stiff as an actor. And it seemed as if they want him to be Batman so badly.
