Wouldn't it be sending a message to Sony? And it can't be any worse than Spider-Man 3.

You are correct sir. Sony is basically making this so quickly so the rights don't go back to Marvel. It's why the movie was announced literally the same day that Spider-Man 4 was cancelled.

I think Spidy is one of those characters that doesn't really need a complete redesign for the big screen. They got pretty close to the source material with the first trilogy and he looked fine. What's wrong with the way McFarlane Spidy looks? I personally would like wider eyes like the comics but that's just my opinion. I'll watch it. And who knows, the way movies are raising the bar with CGI this might surprise us. I don't think a Spidy figure will ever come along that will top McFarlane Spidy.

Look interesting, but its not for me. Because it looks kinda horrid like no one took time on it or something. Still I'll pass.

Isn't it ironic that Hasbro once again put the most effort into a figure that most people don't like? Remember the Marvel Universe Iron Spider-man? It actually had one of the best sculpts for a 3 inch Spider-Man figure... and if someone actually WANTS that thing, you can get it at BBTS for $4.

It looks like a mixture of Spider-man Unlimited and the Ben Reilly Spider-man costume that later became Spider-Carnage.

I don't think we can blame Hasbro for any of this if at all. Sony is most likely responsible for the design. Wish they didn't make this film so the rights would go back to Marvel.
