Amazing Spider-Man Movie Figure!!

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansit.../news/?a=42230

Here you go lads!

Skullgmo44 07-19-2011 05:36 PM

is it 3 3/4in? cuz most of my figs are and i dont want to convert

omega145 07-19-2011 05:39 PM

Thanks for sharing. Is it me or does it look terrible?

behindthemask 07-19-2011 05:40 PM

I'd say it's 3 3/4'' but could also be 6'' and knowing how popular he is with kids and collectors alike they'll more then likely have him in both scales... Wondering if this is different from the SDCC spidey figure that was released already? Looks similiar.

Tiberius 07-19-2011 05:42 PM

I think it looks badass. Just watched the Avengers trailer and Spider-Man and I am pumped. I hope I see this guy at retail with a movie version of Lizard [OMG OMG OMG OMG]

Joe Moore 07-19-2011 05:48 PM

Moved to news, thanks for the heads up.

MasterSock 07-19-2011 06:10 PM

It might be one of those thing that grow on you after you watch the movie. As of now i hate it.

btomaselli 07-19-2011 06:11 PM

I've said this since day one. Spider-man did not need a reboot - nor did he need a costume redesign. This suit is horrible. I really hope this movie flops and sends Marvel a message.

yea it did, felicia hardy as vulturess?? Spidey 4 was gonna bomb

Colder Soldier 07-19-2011 06:45 PM

Yep. Changing Spider-Man's core costume design in any way at any time is usually a recipe for failure.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is not a Marvel Studios film is it? If not, of course it's gonna have issues.

quipp209 07-19-2011 06:59 PM

This line has potential it has the detail looks like it has the articulation I'm kinda excited about this can't wait to c them hit the shelfs... Collecting has been awsome in the last 2 years with all these movies n now legends n mu still going strong I am proud to say I'm a COLLECTOR com on fellow toyarkians say it with me

Aheld92 07-19-2011 07:16 PM

Not to excited about the Spidey reboot but the figure looks bad@$$. the sculpt and articulation are amazing and i may be the minority here but i do love the suit. can't wait to see more pics tomorrow night!

Shin Densetsu 07-19-2011 07:30 PM

Holy shit they gave him rocker ankles AND double jointed elbows. This is now more articulated than even some, SOME Marvel Legends figures! Impressive Hasbro, impressive. Even if the movie blows chunks and sucks rocks this figure looks okay. Sculpt could be better. Let's hope the final product doesn't look cheap as hell.

Gotta say you are in fact the minority. Completely underwhelming. Boy Hasbro just cannot get Spidey right!

Definitely looks 3 3/4" to me. It is NOT the same as last year's SDCC exclusive Spider-Man. That one looked like the outfit from the original trilogy.

I hated the costume at first, too, but I've grown quite fond of it. I actually think it looks really cool. And I appreciate how lean the contour is.

Nope. NOT a Marvel Studios film. Spider-Man is still with Sony.

Probably in the minority, but at least you're not alone. I'm right there with you. I've grown to really like the costume, a lot. And I wasn't excited at all about this reboot, nor do I think that it's necessary, but I'm definitely gonna check it out.

Nexodusrex 07-19-2011 07:54 PM

I'ma go out on a limb and say that IS 3.75 inchs. I was looking at the Wrists, and the way Hasbro has always done their 6 inch figures wrists like that, they always have big round wrists and then the swivle hand. even in the new Thor and cap 6inch you can see it.
This Figures Wrists look like the way the GIJoe team does their new swivel 3.75 wrists for POC.
personally, I want a MU Spidey with that Articulation!

ludovicotek 07-19-2011 07:59 PM

^ That would be great. Actually, I want the GI JOE POC team to work on the MU line!!!!

Kluster Bombs 07-19-2011 08:10 PM

The articulation is good but the costume sucks.

troo kvlt 07-19-2011 08:59 PM

i think its a 6 inch figure..

because it have:

1) double joint elbow - mu / thor, ironman2, cap movie etc. 3inch only have 1 joint..
2) hinge/swivel wrist - mu / thor, ironman2, cap movie etc. 3inch only have swivel wrist..

i might be wrong though..

RoketoPunch 07-19-2011 10:06 PM

Figure is cool but the film looks lame.

scarecrow 07-19-2011 10:11 PM

I'm not digging the suit currently, but I dig Andrew Garfield as Spidey. He's a really great actor. Like the suit though, I don't dig this figure. Something about it is just off enough to bug me.

Uh, it looks just like the costume. What exactly do you expect? Hasbro made a great figure here.

Great costume too.

Can't wait to see all the Spider-Man costumes we get in the comic series for this line next year.

Snowflakian 07-20-2011 01:00 AM

I'm anti-reboot, but I'm digging the new costume, that's going to be one badass movie spidey to add to the avengers shelf. Now gimmeh my movie black cat already!

Amalberga81 07-20-2011 01:16 AM

agree, that costume is not good, even in raw picture like this the custome is very bad, hope they fixed it later
