It's Friday and I don't feel like working very hard, so I'm talking toys for the most part,.. unless Deebo rolls up.

If you don't feel like reading further, the thread is.. "What do you think has been the best Wave?"

As I look over the latest Wave, I got to thinking.. "damn, every figure is almost a slam dunk." I got into the MU game a little late, so it seems like there's always a figure I still want, but looking back on the Waves (thanks to trebleshot's very handy checklist), there aren't many that I look at and need all of them. When I look at 2011's Wave 2, the only figure that I was going to pass on was Wolverine. It's another Wolverine, yes,.. and I still think he looks like an idiot with those whiskers, but it's at least a unique Wolverine as opposed to another brown suit or the typical yellow suited version we usually get.

Apocalypse- BEAST! Not only did we get a character I think a lot of us having been waiting for, but they nailed it. Big, solid, and loaded with detail. For some reason mine came a little greasy, but that's nothing a paper towel couldn't handle.

Cyclops- Best version of Cyclops for me. The version without the swim cap was always my favorite, and he has those great newer ankles for super awesome poseability.

Cable- Similar to my thoughts on WW Hulk; it seems like they used a lot more of their budget on this figure than on most. Lots of accessories (removeable armor included), ridiculously articulated and detailed. It just seems like a few figures are heads above the rest in overall quality, and this is definitely one of them.

Gladiator- Mohawk + Jay Leno moon chin = needs to be owned by me.

WW Hulk isn't technically part of this wave, but it doesn't hurt that he's packaged in cases of this wave.

So what wave do you think has been the best? You can see the wave lists in trebleshot's thread here.

I totally believe this to be the best wave to date.. its a complete slam dunk you hit the nail on the head. First of all it includes SEVERAL popular characters. Second, and most importantly I might add - it adds NEW articulation to the mix.

These figures started out kind of shoddy, I mean there were no accessories to speak of quality was a bit troublesome.. articulation was only OK.. but look at them now, look at that wave and how awesome they have become.

Definitely calling this my favourite wave, hands down.

**PS that grease on your apoc was just mold release, they use it in manufacturing to get them guys outta the molds quicker XD**

Hammer Wave 2 and 3 were two of the ones I was most excited for pre-release. Some key figures hit in both of those, that at the time, were amazing to get in the 3.75 size.

Wave2:
Extremis Iron Man broke standards for Iron Man with that relase.
Modern Thor was AMAZING!
Black Widow was a great pickup for the shield collection too

Wave3:
Other than AIM soldier, was there a miss here?
Archangel, Kitty Pryde, Juggernaut, Colossus were AWESOME!
And Havok on the side is fantastic even.

Those are my picks for ones I personally was most excited for, but I have favorite figures in all waves.

If we're talking quality, I retract my post and say this or the last wave. WW Hulk/Cable accessories were tremendous! Articulation is light years beyond the waves I listed as well. BUT as far as straight characters and anticipation of them simply as marvel characters, my above post remains.

Well Mr. Vader you have my opinion on it too & anybody notice the laziness of using the XMOW body but other than that the peaks one Wolverine's mask are uneven on the ones I've seen at the store & the one I have.

Quinten you have a great eye for the quality too brother man. They made sure they really broke the mold (no pun intended) on how the designs are & I couldn't be happier. I was happy to see how different this wave was & how many more people who were on the fence about MU jumped in with the rest of us.

As for me the last 2 waves have been solid because it had characters that were fan favorites & they stepped up how much better the figures can be, I was as happy as anyone when the BE Iron Man came out because of how great the armor was & how sleek the design is.

The latest wave took the cake for me. Even with the Wolverine.

Hammer Wave 3 - Archangel, Colossus and obviously Juggernaut. They kick ass!
The Newest Wave also - Apocalypse, Cable and Cyclops.

I always thought Cyclops looked like a tard with his hair covered. Thank GOD for Jim Lee.

This wave gave me Gladiator ( a personal favorite since the incredible War of Kings) but last wave was really awesome- Bleeding Edge Iron Man with rocker ankles!

Next wave looks even better! Doctor Strange! Doctor Freakin' Strange, baby!

With them finally putting Doom and Ultron onto cards, maybe we'll luck out and they'll do the same for the SHIELD and Hydra soldiers!
Love me some good soldiers!

Good wave. That's a pretty solid top three right there. Juggernaut is one of my favorite MU figs.

Thanks, Shawn. I'm ok for now with my Target two pack version... I wish I bought the House of M version before I got that two pack though (I'm a one fig per character guy).
