You hit the nail on the head, kick-ass it is! haha
Im wanting both hydra soldiers eventually. Ive only seen the regular hydra soldier but it was 15 bucks at TRU and I passed. IMO, the green and yellow red skull looks silly. |

Oh no. I was just talking about the different Cap's within this line. I don't find the green camo or darker camo'd pants to be more gimmicky or "kid-friendly". I do wish we could get a regular shield with every Cap though. I might have to paint one for Jungle Cap.

Ever notice how they sometimes sneak a good character in through a "gimmicky variant" though? Like "Stretch Strike" Venom (Dark Avengers, Mac Gargan). I'd buy a "Ninja Cap" if it was really a Punisher Cap, or "Age of X" Cap just with a sword.

I finally got a hydra goon. I agree, he's a huge bitch. I like the arm canons and blast effects he came with.

I was checking the Captain America toys at Target during lunch and saw the Captain America Flying Shield. It is basically a frisbee, stylized like Cap's throwing shield. I don't know how many of you grew up with siblings (esp. brothers), but it wouldn't have taken us more than 10 minutes to start chucking this thing at each other's heads.
The first bit o' chin-music to draw blood near the upper lip or chip a tooth wins. I feel like I am among the last to cry foul to get a toy recalled, but this thing should have been a no-brainer. That said, if I was buying this, I would definitely go with the flying shield frisbee than the other versions that shoots discs. The disc-shooter works fine for an Iron Man toy, not for Cap. Here comes the tooth-breaker! Whizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! |
