These are awesome! The combined mode is way better executed then the New Netfelix series. Despite, not watching the original show, I stil want these, they have that great vitage toy robot look to them. I would be more then happy if Playmets will release smaller diecast version, I really hope they will!

Perfect timing. I just retired the Toynami Die Cast one. It's a nice piece, but flopped all over the place every time I bumped it. This can slide in behind some stuff and rep Voltron on the shelves.

I'm hoping they do a full on set of the Lions. I'd want that just for the box as I like the packaging. But this will be an easy pick up for me as well.

I know it's just a photoshopped pic in all likelihood but this looks exceptional if it even comes close

Good idea, I'll be getting these no problem. It looks really great and has a nice size to it. I was gonna get the Ultimate version but this is just as good. What were the reviews on the Ultimate version anyways, there is not much on YouTube about it, is there a thread for it on Toyark. I might buy three sets, one to keep in box, one to form Voltron and the other to keep as lions

what the fuck! are you serious? Thanks for posting this Joe, im a huge Voltron fan! i have my eye on the Ultimate voltron ex from Toynami but that cost like $300 or 400 bucks so thats why im stalling to get it but this is way afforable, its like $100.00 for the complete set and its 16" thats the perfect size i wanted, if it was bigger or smaller, i would NOT get it. this is a definite buy from me, playmates is a good company, i have their TMNT and those are fantasic...voltron has to be past 12" inches. voltron is bigger than Transformers so this size is perfect. i dont like the new netflix version voltron, i prefer the oldschool version like this one...Playmates is doing with Voltron what Combiner wars is doing with tranformers. bringing back the fan favorites and making them affordable and identical to Toynami (voltron) & Masterpiece (transformrs) Last edited by Tomax; 12-12-2017 at 03:40 PM.. |

Holy elgonated torso and legs Batman! Am I the only one that notices his torso is way too long? Also, the red V-like chest armor should be almost touching his belt. Definitely not. The SOC one has joints so the lions can set down like proper cats.

Looking at it some more, I noticed where theres a recessed area above his belt where the sound comes out, perhaps the torso can slide down over that area..? Also the red chest part ends in the same location as the vinyl Toynami SDCC figure, fwiw. |

If you look at the anime, it's supposed to be a lot lower. Either way though, the stomach is too long.

The neck looks weird. Either the face is too small or the lower jaw is too big.

Tiny face is tiny. That torso is terrible. I'm gonna pass. Bandai did a great SOC set. I'm still hoping they do one for the Netlix version too.
