Cross Country In GI Joe 2?

GI Joe 2 Goes Cross Country - GI Joe News

If it is Cross-Country, it seems like an odd move to pull a character like that for a movie. But I guess there could be a legitimate story-based reason for it, so I guess I'll still wait to see the movie before I decide if this is a boneheaded move or if it works.
