Zero chance of that being the reason. All of the characters you just mentioned still get merchandised, and in the case of Raven being a modern design, Todd clearly favors modern stuff over classic and released that as part of a wave where everyone was in modern designs.

Looks like Mcfarlane Toys is trying to stop leaks of figures. They are asking people on twitter to not post figure leaks and the Mcfarlane Toys reddit closed their megaleak thread cause Mcfarlane asked them too.

He needs to relax. Leaks aren’t harmful to the end product unless it fails to live up to expectations.

I know that sounds snarky, but I don't see any difference and don't even remember there being any change in his design around then. Outside of when he went into the Wildstorm universe and got his Kingdom Come look.

New 52 Captain Atom was a redesign… that looks nothing like this.

Some of the designations and art cards assigned to the figures are flat out incorrect (Static and Arsenal immediately come to mind), so this is probably just another example.

The marbling on the silver plastic really stands out in a bad way, plus that foot is looking wonky as ever. I want to like Todd's stuff but oof.
