My biggest complaint about the figure is the really huge waist bolts. I like the beefy size. I always thing about BL as a big dude. That may be largely due to Cress Williams' portrayal. True, the hair style is "safe". However, it's well done.

Anyone know the buck it utilizes?

Sinestro is the epitome of the lameness that is the DC universe.. Always talked about as being one of DCs biggest villians and he is a turd of a design, like most of DC hero designs. Which is why I love when Mcfarlane toys does something different with an established character. Mattel made all these garbage figures a long time ago. If you dont like Todd's stuff thats cool. You don't have to. Free to buy what you like. Ebay has got your back. I see lots of them Mattel DC figs sold real cheap. Some really discounted, lower than retail. Multiple figure lots piled together like the trash they are.

Kind of tired of "Collector" figures which is basically Hasbro's bullshit fake ass "Deluxe" kind of offerings.

He does seem to be leaning into statues more and more, though. Was excited to see Jumanji 6" figures then low and behold - more crap ass statues. The Batman statues are already all on clearance.

All of DCs statues even before Mcfaralne took over DC Direct would clearance out. Even some amazing looking statues would. Seems like DC goes clearance alot on sites like Sideshow and BBTS

Yeah I heard Mcfarlane say more than once -If he has a choice he will do versions of a character that hasnt been done before.Id prefer more classic look sinestro but I understand the character choices with that mindset.
If Mcfarlanes going to charge 29 probably should focus more on giving accessories that pertains to the character or extra heads not that plastic card holder. That maybe my opinion but I haven't seen one person say they like or want that card stand.

I like the idea of the card holder, but the cards would need to be better. The mismatch of art to figure design, the weird phase where it was just figure photography, and no consistency in using actor photos or generic style guide illustrations for the live-action stuff all make for cards that have effectively no value as part of the presentation.

It feels kind of insulting for the "premium" line to give even more real estate to a basic inclusion that was always obviously a means to claim multiple accessories for even a bare bones figure. Even worse when the other basic accessory is an incredibly useful figure stand that every company should be including with their figures! Why not emphasize the aspect of the package where you're shaming other companies by, like, printing the character art onto the stand or bumping up the height of it to literally elevate the figure above others and make it seem more important? Theme it with plug-in effects like swirls of lightning around a speedsters feet or wisps or clouds for flying characters or a flock of bats that rise up and encircle Batman?

But if you're dead set on the card thing then do something different: make it lenticular, print it onto clear plastic with the background painted out so the character art looks to float in the air, gold foil the border, something! Or turn the cardboard insert behind the figure blister into an enormous card? Even mismatched art would look pretty dope in that context, IMO.
