You can get the DCSH Croc for a good price. Or if you like the look of it, there's also the one from the 2003 Batman line. He's all darker green and has like a tail-slashing action feature. But he's not corny looking like the current retail Batman line. He's usually pretty cheap on eBay. Cheaper than DCSH anyway.

I loved the comics, and the movie wasn't too bad. I just think it is a little outdated, which made it a hard pill to swallow for movie goers. I like outdated though, sometimes that is the only thing keeping integrity intact. Also, some of it was different than the comic. The ending in the original was a little more fucked up.

Watchmen is amazing...reading the graphic novel changed my life, and my view on comics in general. Anyone who loves comics should check it out. I don't see why people complain about the movie, its verbatim with the exception of the end, and its not even changed enough to where it bothered me. Well, I was excited about those Before Watchmen figures, but what's this subscription sh*t? Matty is really starting to get on my nerves with this stuff. Just release them in stores for gods sake so anyone who wants them can get them. Stupid, stupid company. Hasbro is bad, but at least they haven't resorted to these tactics. I had that 2003 batman line Croc, and I hated him because I thought he looked too much like the Spiderman villain, The Lizard. I've never felt Croc should be THAT reptilian. He's still part man after all. Which is why I'm buying the DCSH Croc from Ken, he's the perfect mixture of beast and man. Oh yeah Abe, go ahead and post a pic of that AC Mad Hatter. I'd still like to see him up close and personal.

WOOT i just saw TDKR earlier and loved it..it was realy great.so im still riding the high of that lol

heres the hatter pics. i think my favorite part about this figure is the patchwork coat..its just a lot of detail and looks great. the only down side i think is how he is made for one pose..but then again most DCD figures are. i would like to find a mini tea set for him..maybe i can find somthing at hobby lobby or some other store. all in all its the best hatter out there in my opinion

heres a couple for size reference

I had a feeling that this would happen. Why subscribe when I can just snag the Batman characters I want online? It's unfortunate for Mattel though, but if they want less of their product to hit evilbay courtesy of factory workers, they shouldn't have outsourced their production.
On a side note, I really want a good Talia to go with one of my "Batmen". Just seems right.

i've never seen alfred, ever. I've seen gordon twice. I'm stupid for not getting it. I never saw a completed bat signal in pics. Not diggin the ebay prices on cat woman and ras al gul either

Serious, your AC list would rule. I'd by hammer and sicle, strange, talia. dunno about dead shot (err yeah nvm i will)

I like my animated series clay face, so I wouldn't get him. i'd do only because the current CnC is so damn expensive

Wow really not digging that Jervis Tetch. Dude looks like your average every day really short bum and doesn't scream Mad Hatter at all. I love that AA Scarecrow and still would love to have one, but the price on him is bad. I guess I'll try to get a decent price on TLH Hatter. Yeah I'm really hoping we get AC Clayface and Grundy, and maybe Deadshot.

Indeed sir. Abe you know where I can find that AA Scarecrow at a decent price? Ebay and amazon have been disappointing regarding Dr. Crane as of late.

barnes and noble? they used to carry awesome halo figures. I got my very first figure when I started collecting there. my blue halo...elite something. The same day there was a folk band playing live in the coffee shop. my wife and I stayed for awhile. It was awesome. Thanks for unlocking awesome memories i'd forgotten. Seriously.

Yes this is one strategy, but without 2013 subscribers no new figures will be made after the remaining 10 or so prototypes so there won't be figures available to pick-up online.

Not subscribing is fine if you are content with only mainstream New 52 figures from the DC Unlimited line & whatever mainstream Batman Unlimited figures they may produce.

No chance of seeing obscure characters this way tho.

Works for folks who do not collect outside of silos, but really sucks for team builders and completionists.

I agree with 3/4 if your post lol. Wasn't DCUC obscure characters for the most part? Who really gives a shit about Jemm, Cyclotron, Golden Pharoh, Guardian and so on. Those seem pretty obscure to me. It is like they planned on this sub thing for years, make us buy 3 Metal Men, then we want to complete the team and BAHM, subscription, same with JSA! Uhg Mattel is making so much money off of us it is stupid. I almost feel stupid for wanting this stuff.

I am really looking forward to the new line, but I doubt I will see it on Canadian retailers for a long time [MAYBE TRU, but doubtful after the DCUC failure].

I will not be subscribing for next year, as I feel Mattel is cheating the fans and lying to our faces. I hope it goes through for you guys who are more hardcore into the line and are completionists. Also Constantine better damn well come with some fucking kickass accessories or I will be so god damn pissed off I may burn down my house. I can live with all the New 52 stuff, as long as they make some specific figures [Cyborg, Aquaman w/ Sideburns, Animal Man, Earth 2 Superman, ect].

We just got to wait and see =3.

^ DCUC did have really obscure characters, but Matty asserts that poor sales of these killed the line. They can't afford to produce the full runs needed for the line to be in stores if no one buys the Golden Pharoahs and Jemms and Mary Batsons and Starmen, and Magogs. (I would argue that better-organized wave lineups & better case assortments might have helped this, but it's too late now.)

There will still be DC Unlimited & Batman Unlimited for the A-B-C rosters of characters, but anyone who is looking for Captain Marvel, Jr., Ragdoll, Granny Goodness, and even Red Hood are S.O.L. without a vehicle for bringing small run figures to the marketplace.

And, yes, I did add Magog specially for you. Going forward, we will never see a character like Magog outside of the subscription. To Mattel, he and others like him will never be sufficiently mainstream for the retail line.
