I remember being able to find my Arkham Asylum Bane at one of them for $20 well after his price had shot up on ebay. |

got DCUC Signature Final 4H designed Doomsday (un armored) from Monster Mania yesterday, for a somewhat sane price……haven't opened him yet (I've been working the past few days)

Wow. That's kinda messed up, although I see why they do it. Of the three comic shops (somewhat) near me, two of them offer great prices on new releases (usually below TRU if nothing else) and the third doesn't have toys at all.
I remember being able to find my Arkham Asylum Bane at one of them for $20 well after his price had shot up on ebay. FYE isn't much better. The one nearest me never has anything worth buying

Just recently got into buying the DC Collectibles figures after using an Amazon gift card I had laying around to pick up Crime Syndicate Ultraman and Superwoman. These figures are freaking AWESOME. Ultraman got promptly customed into a classic Superman for my collection. Bonus he scales perfectly with my Legends figures too. =)
While I was originally all-in on the idea of the Icons figures, after buying these Crime Syndicate DCC's, I really can't get with the ab crunch and torso design on the Icons anymore. I'm sure it's already been asked, but I don't understand why they didn't just utilize these same bases for the Icons lineup. |

As do I. The Mattel version suffered from lack of bendy head tail and the fact that Saint Walker was about twice as bulky as he should have been. The DC Direct version on the other hand suffered from the weird grimace face.

Probably because Mattel just cannot seem to decide what they want to do with their DC lines. I never really understood a lot of their choices and some of the sculpts were horrendous. A LOT of the DC characters from Mattel and DCD/DCC suffer from the grimace face I mentioned above. Great body sculpts were completely ruined by horrible head sculpts. |

^ DC Collectibles used to be called DC Direct, and they are completely separate from Mattel.
I've only ordered one thing from Mattycollector and I had no issues, but they do have an atrocious track record. |

Yes they are separate. In re-reading my last comment I could have been clearer. I was indicating that both companies who produce DC figures seem to suffer from some of the same issues. Namely the grimace face. Take a look at the DCD Saint Walker and the Mattel White Lantern Hal if you want to see what I mean.

I think there are only 3 heads for Hal. The closed mouth one, the teeth gritting one, and the rage face from Black Lantern Hal.

Ask anyway. This is kind of a catch all dc thread. Also as far as I have heard the only thing continuing in the MM line (sort of) is the Batman 66 stuff. They have 1 new Batgirl figure and a lot of repacked stuff coming this year. They have not said if the Batman V Superman stuff will be part of this line, but that will not be announced until Toyfare in 2016. But I doubt it very much. The Man of Steel and Green lantern MM figures did very poorly so I don't see the MM line continuing.

In the middle of phasing out my DCUC figures with updated classic costume customs using the awesome DCC Crime Syndicate figures as bases. Classic Bats WIP at the moment. Seriously, they need to make these bodies the basis for any 6-inch DC figure line going forward... totally in love with these figures for customs. =)

Phantom Crow I only disagree with 1 thing. Batman v. Superman is scheduled for theaters 1 year from today (March 26, 2016, Good Friday I believe) the associated merchandise will need to be in stores No later then Feb 1, 2016. Expect something SDCC or NYCC. Mattel has said 6 months for Action figures to be produced thats July - August 2015
