True story...I received an offer of $10,000.00 for my NEVER RELEASED, One in existence Modern Red Tornado. My friends tell me I'm crazy for passing on that offer but I tell them...The feeling that I had the moment I saw it in person for the first time and the passion I feel every time I see it and talk about it just like right now is PRICELESS!!!!! I might bend sometimes but I don't break!!!

No way, I am pretty much a loose collector EXCEPT when it comes to super-rare items as that is the only time it makes perfect sense, so I completely understand why you'd have one of each version. If you don't, then anyone looking at them has no reason to suspect any one of them as being rare.

The only ones I really envy are your nekkid Cheetah and Tornado. Where in hell did you get him btw? That has got to be the all-time grail for DCUC.

Thank you...finally someone that understands, lol! I was lucky enough to have met the daughter of a Mattel employee who just happened to be one of the main DCUC master minds since wave 1. He left Mattel after wave 20 so, I wish every DCUC fan would've seen what this guy had in his house...Paradise!

he didn't need to pay for it.. You do know the Plasticman Flashpoint and Black Costume Supergirl never got made.

The sad part is if Mattel had listened to their customers we'd still see DCUC stuff but they would rather listen to people who cared more about their paycheck (Who do not work at Mattel anymore).

Yes, those never got made as well as the Guardian and the superboy/miss martian 2 pack. Of course I wish DCUC would've never finished but not much we can do about it.

The variants that I just showed you. Look for this picture online though because I couldn't post this pic with a better resolution so you can see the details better.

Especially towards the end of that checklist, the variants that were proposed but never made are shown. Some of them obviously went as far as packaged mockups, which is how Rafael got his Tornado.

Gotcha. Man that must have been a sight. Can you tell us any other specific rare items he had?

His daughter tells me that he is obsessed with Batman so, to start off, I saw just about every Batman figure ever made plus so many unreleased and prototypes that never made it to production. I saw that he kept at least one of each figure from every wave including the SH series and the infinite crisis 3.75 inch toy line too. The coolest stuff (besides the rares of course) was that his daughter tells me that all those prototypes of Batman could've made to production if he really pushed for it. She says that at the time Mattel had given him the opportunity to push as many figures as he pleased, therefore, he just left so many unproduced prototypes because newer and better ideas would always make come up. I also bought from him a variant Etrigon Demon and several GL and Sinestro wave 3 figs but they all have "neon colored" lanterns. I'll post pics of those later.

the sad part is that at least a small group of Varients did make it. The Superpowers Penguin did in Batman Unlimited, The Light Blue Versions of Superman and Wonder Woman, and even the Superpowers Mr. Freeze in Batman Legacy.

Yup, and the worst part about that is that not only did people want the unproduced ones much more than Freeze, but the Superpowers Batman, Superman and WW (Who wasn't light blue but had yellow accents) were among the least available ones around.

Shows how Scott cared more about completing Super Powers than he cared about his customers, the fans. And this from a guy who calls himself a guru of toys and a fellow nerd. Hint to Scott: a guru is supposed to look out for his students (not to mention some of us know more about toys than he does).

well I cannot say much about the Brands Manager (most of it I already said). He's gone working for the lowest company in the industry Jaxx's Pacific. Many of us have said he cared only about 2 things. 1) Everything MOTU. 2) How much money he could milk out of us. As for those of us who dealt with him lets just say I'd rather deal with a Great White Shark
