				 | Quote: Yeah? Well Avengers > dark knight rises. See I can do the same thing, even the not upper case letters of my least favorite movie. What makes yours so special? Look, if you hate the Avengers that much go protest at Disney or make a thread in the DC area. STOP spamming some guys thread about action figures!!! The Marvel or DC war is as old as time, what are your puny posts going to do to the other side you swore to hate? Quote: Well if you tell other people that something they like sucks, well....good luck in life too. We are all fanboys here, you a DC one and me a Marvel one. There is no need to bash the others movies. I have yet to see a Marvel fan here say anything about batman's movie, or very little if they did. Why don't we accept that we all like our own movies and move on, okay? Last edited by 1andonly5711; 07-28-2012 at 12:48 AM.. |

Gentlemen, gentlemen...I wasn't even really being serious! I like Marvel too! I just like The Dark Knight Rises better than Avengers. Its nothing against Avengers, because it was a great movie, just in my opinion(notice I said in my opinion) TDKR was better. There's no point in fighting. trekking is right, the Marvel vs DC war is old as time itself. Been going on too long. Swindleshop, I like to see that kind of spirit for this movie, especially since people in the actual DKR thread are talking garbage about it. But obviously trekking took what I said a little too seriously. I wasn't trying to be malicious in any way. Glad ya got my back tho homie. Batman FTW. Now, lets get this thread back on track. I tell you guys, it would be weird if we didn't get a single pack Catwoman or a Quicktek one, considering she's a big part of the movie, and alot of people liked her. Oh, and don't be surprised if TDKR ends up making more money than The Avengers. Not saying it will for sure, but I mean now that they're back to promoting the movie again (after that unfortunate and tragic business in Colorado) I think its just going to sky rocket from here. Wait til it hits the overseas market.

				 | Quote: And if I was looking for a fight would I have said: "Why don't we accept that we all like our own movies and move on, okay?"? As the other comments above said, lets stop. No one wants to be banned, and this won't change our minds on the movies. Sorry if I took anyone too seriously but in a thread about Batman figures the remarks came across as real Avengers hate. Let us Marvel and DC fans bury the hatchet and move on to better things in the world of collecting, okay? And how the heck do you know my age?! Why not take advice that true? It's advice, no matter the age of the person who said it. I learned it from someone older obviously. Why so much discrimination towards younger people? Even you were once that age.

Sorry but Rises is a better film than the Avengers. That's totally objective. The Avengers was a good comic book movie, but the Dark Knight Rises is a good movie. You see the difference? It's like if someone really likes hotel paintings. That's fine and good, more power to them. But they should understand the difference between a hotel painting and a Van Gogh. And don't even try to use the box office take to justify your opinion. It's pretty meaningless considering that whole Psychotic gunman theatre massacre thing. |

Yeah, I'm not saying The Avengers is a hotel painting. I liked it, and am all about Marvel. But the comparison is appropriate in that, The Avengers was made for mass consumption, whereas The Dark Knight movies are more about story telling and filmmaking. The fact that TDKR will make 2 billion dollars and despite that, Nolan and Bale will not make another one shows balls and conviction. He also refused to do it in 3D. Can you imagine Warner Bros. fury at that decision? How much money do you think that cost them? The Dark Knight movies are crime drama and war movies rather than superhero movies. It's apples and oranges, but you don't have to be a comic book fan to appreciate those films. That's considerably difficult to do. |

I think we can all agree, they're both very good movies in their own right. I give both 5/5. 100%. 2 thumps up. Now let's stop talking about which is better.

I might pick up a maskless batman, draw a beard on it, and use it as a tony stark head.
