Expect New Dark Knight Rises Toys (3 3/4")?

Curious to know if there's any news of any new toys or figures for the The Dark Knight Rises toyline (3 3/4" size)? like new vehicles or characters?

Torn Prince 07-27-2012 03:16 AM

I should certainly hope so considering its pretty much the movie of the year (suck it avengers) At the very least we should at least get a single pack 3 3/4 inch Catwoman, considering she's only available in that Target multipack as of right now. I'd like to see a John Blake in that scale too. As for absolute verification? I know nothing as of this time.

Movie of the year, what news source said that?!
The opening weekend box office begs to differ.

About the main question, I hope batman gets real figures. All movies need good 3.75 in. figures. I don't know if they have been planned but I am sure us toyark members will be the first to know.

Torn Prince 07-27-2012 03:29 AM

Check the new trailer trekking, it says in it MOVIE OF THE YEAR, what box office numbers are you hearing about? Plus the movie continues to make money. But yeah, main question. I'm not happy with the articulation on the 3.75 inch figures, but I still enjoy them, and buy the hell out of them, being that unlike the dark knight, there is no 5 inch line this time around.

it says that because of its making most money now but not nearly what avengers did like in two weeks another movie will be number 1

Marvel/Disney's 'The Avengers' Hits $200 Million Opening Weekend

The Dark Knight Rises still managed a stunning $160 Million

Yes thank you for clearing that up.

I would appreciate it if you kept your opinions to yourself. Do I go around in a thread about action figures saying down with the dark knight or suck it dark knight? No. We can all like different movies and respect that or like you did go bashing the one you don't like. I say we go with option 1.

And just wait until The Avengers opens in Japan! We will see who is the movie of the year then!

Sorry JohnRedcorn, you don't deserve your thread ending up like this.

Oh not you, that was for the one who told avengers to suck it. Thank you for you first post, you didn't do anything wrong. :)

ToyAddict 07-27-2012 04:20 AM

Back on track. . .I don't recall anything new being shown at SDCC for 3.75" scale figures. BBTS doesn't have much listed for Preorders. Doesn't look like there is much of anything else coming, either in the basic figures or the Quicktek.

1andonly5711 07-27-2012 04:21 AM

ph pk no problem google is ur friend.

there releasing alot of lanterns and notice i didnt say green

bmorr 07-27-2012 05:53 AM

i dont think ive seen any collector on here that actually liked the 4 inch DC stuff, much less ask for more.

Optimus Vader 07-27-2012 05:58 AM

I hope not.

Weapon XIX 07-27-2012 08:21 AM

Part of me would like more because I'd like a Gordon, Blake, goggles up Catwoman, Ra's and Talia al Ghul, and judge Crane. But All I ever do with these figures is chop the hell out of them and make customs so at best these have only ever been fodder. Mattel just doesn't do this scale well.

As for whether or not to expect them, last time around with TDK there were 4 2-packs and down the line a fifth with Dent and another redeco Batman showed up. Additionally there was a black tumbler and then a camo version showed up down the line. In both cases though, the additions came pretty quickly and was there to really replenish the stuff that was flying off shelves. But that stuff moved pretty quickly partly because they were a complete surprise - no one expected 4" figures at all - and they were very cheap, $4.99 for the 2-packs. With the amount on the pegs now I wouldn't really expect more. If product were flying off the shelves and new product was warranted for a dvd push then we might get new stuff, but with the amount of Batman stuff just sitting in stores now, and with the new animated series on the way and a push toward a line supporting that, I wouldn't expect any new TDKR product especially in this scale.

No there is nothing new coming.
Heck lots of the ones out now are repacks or repaints of the previous movie.

Yeah? Well Avengers > dark knight rises. See I can do the same thing, even the not upper case letters of my least favorite movie. What makes yours so special?

Look, if you hate the Avengers that much go protest at Disney or make a thread in the DC area. STOP spamming some guys thread about action figures!!! :mad1 The Marvel or DC war is as old as time, what are your puny posts going to do to the other side you swore to hate?

You need to calm the fuck down. Its obvious you're an avengers fanboy, nothing more. This thread IS a DC one, if you get all butthurt over a few posts that aren't even talking down the avengers in a serious way, then you should stay off the DC boards.

Very true but they convert (witha bit of work) into GREAT figs- you need to make new bodies for them, but stick a batman head on a GI Joe armored suit and you've got a recipie for awesome.
Look at the catwoman in the Customs Completed section for a great CW that seems pretty simple to make from the parts listed.

It's a disapointing toy line- geared towards little kids that really, should NOT be watching that movie anyway, but a fan can make cool figs from what's available.

Yeah, but this forum is an action figure one. Both Marvel and DC. Nothing gives you the right to spam someones thread like this.
And the post telling the avengers to suck it is not serious?

You know what's funny though? When you say batman is better it's your opinion. But when I say Avengers is better I am a fanboy. That's like the pot, kettle and all that.

SwindlesShop 07-27-2012 11:43 PM

Oh shutup about spamming already. Torn Prince's comment about "sucking it" wasn't even serious, if you get offended over that good luck in life.
No but you know whats funny? Fanboys like you, throwing a sissy fit.

Well if you tell other people that something they like sucks, well....good luck in life too.

We are all fanboys here, you a DC one and me a Marvel one. There is no need to bash the others movies. I have yet to see a Marvel fan here say anything about batman's movie, or very little if they did. Why don't we accept that we all like our own movies and move on, okay?

M3T4L V1KING 07-27-2012 11:56 PM

... How bout them Knicks?

I'd love for you to tell me where I said anything sucked. I have yet to criticize anything marvel related, so move on already youre looking for a fight when theres nothing to fight about. And no thanks on the advice, I don't take it from 17 year old kids.
