Okay, my local stores have been more or less cleaned out of older stock and have been overrun by the Iceman and X23 waves.

Now I'm just starting to see Guardians of the Galaxy all over the place. (Though I can't find an FF pack to save my life).

What are you guys' stores lousy with?

To clarify, mine are lousy with Submariners, shadow-faced Magnetos, and Guardians of the Galaxy teams...

We already have several threads dedicated to this topic. Local sightings, Look what I just got, My store has this, and MU 3.75 appreciation. I wish we had a chat so we could do this in real time. It would be a lot easier to follow all the chatter if we kept it to one thread.

Agreed. With this alot of responses end up being repeated.

A live chat would be cool, and then a history thread that you could go to after to check older convos

It doesn't bother me that much when people create duplicate threads.

The site has moderators and administrators running it that do a hell of a job, I think.

If they feel threads are duplicates of other threads they can always merge them.

Local sightings are for only in that state, not country or world-wide.

Look what I just got is for what was actually purchased, not what is on the pegs.

MU 3.75 appreciation is for pictures of figures you appreciate.

My store has this is probably appropriate, though I have never seen that thread.

How about directing someone to the right thread rather than just arbitrarily labeling the new one as unnecessary?

You could do a search or look through particular sections. You would have found that thread pretty easily.

Well, whatta ya know, the "My store has this" thread was closed two days ago.

Looks like we didn't have a thread for this after all.

EDIT: I should further state that this thread was specifically for the one or two figures collectors are tired of finding at their stores, which really isn't the same topic as any of the others.

The last Wal-Mart I visited had the X-Force and regular blue-suited FF sets on display. In fact, it looked like they had been out there for a while as there were faint signs of dust on the tops of the boxes.

There were loads of 6" Iron Man 2 Mark V exclusives. They had a good amount of dust on them.

The Marvel Universe 3.75" single figures seem to sell pretty well here. The latest wave vanished quickly along with the new Captain America 6" figures and most of the 6" Thor figures. I did get lucky and managed to find another Steve Rogers figure for my MOMC collection.

Never did see a Guardians set here in my area. But I'm not interested in having it so I never looked for it.

Then if the my store has this thread was closed, why is this thread any different? If anything that was a more helpful thread then what shelf warmers are at stores. I don't know why anyone would care about that.

Last 2 waves are readily available, almost all seem to be selling well several restocks already with both waves,(Tony Stark Iron Man seems to be only slow figure.)3 packs are selling like crazy. Counted various 3 pks 2 weeks ago.(Including FF Future Foundation) 15 at local Wal Mart. All thats left are 2 X-force packs. One of the Wal Marts here seems to have stocked for Christmas already,New product is flowing in on a daily basis,Newest DC, Marvel,GI Joe ,THundercats All available. Funny though the Super Center accross town has almost Zippo.

Obviously some people do. There are no requirements that state that you have to like or be interested in every thread out there.

I understand helping moderate and keep things on topic (a bit, though too much just sucks the fun out of the topic itself), but solely recommending threads be closed based on the fact that you don't care about the topic is unnecessary. Don't like the topic? Skip it. Not a big deal.

It'd be cool if this thread was titled peg-warmers, because then it would be instantly identifiable.

Kind of sucked that my thread "My store has this.." was closed. The spotting thread is by state.. the wants lists are only in every single persons individual bst.. and these types of threads continually pop up. I really thought it was something beneficial to toyark. When I joined this site there were loads of information and awesome posts, now it's slowly becoming a nazi-haven of what you can't post or ask or talk about. I don't understand the sudden change, but I miss the happiness I had every time I logged onto the forums.. now it seems to be nothing but someone complaining about something else or someone else. Oh no.. and now I'm part of it!! :O

But to stay on topic since this thread isn't closed.. I have plenty of FF packs in store. There is one at the TRU I checked tonight that I can see from my hotel. However, not one GoG pack in store ever here. Only one I've ever seen was at a lcs for 30. No thanks.

Sort of, I've seen a few but the paint apps on them have been really bad. I told an Arker a while back that I'd try to hook them up with a set, but could never find one worth purchasing.

How bad are the paint apps? I'm not really too picky. Though I think we should probably stay on topic, if you think you can hook me up with at least a half way decent set, pm me.
