Wow. It would never occur to me to put in a phone order. I didn't even think that was a thing. Where would you even call?

Yeah, that is how it should be. Although, I was worried initially when I get a message saying I was in line to check out as I had some MattyCollector flashbacks for a second, but the thing was super fast and flawless that I can't complain. I wish all exclusives were done like this, especially store exclusives like teh Storm/Thunderbird set.

Yes. I feel the exact same way! I REALLY want that Storm/Thunderbird set but alrdy know it will take a miracle to obtain. Hoping the new Hasbro Pulse Premium Tiers will allow those on the highest tiers to get those store exclusives without the hassle. Supposedly if you spend a lot of money through Pulse you will be on the highest tier... so I should be golden lol

Same here. Got the Hellfire set, the Logan set, the Power Rangers Drakkon set, the Cobra Commander set, and the Ghostbusters Tully set.

Passed on the Endor set since they will all be released in Jan/Feb in single boxes. and I already have like 3/4 Speeder bikes.

I am just baffled as to the Hellfire set being still available past 20 minutes???

Nah, a phone order would be horrendous and slower, imagine the CSR taking the order and having to punch in your information, and repeating such info to make sure it's correct, by then the stuff you want is sold out....But I can see why you would want to do it...

You can't not for the Exclusive Pulse Con ones...They do have a # to call for CSR where you can place it, you just have look on Pulse site.

Well happy to hear the Premium Pulse guys had an overall positive outcome. Hopefully tomorrow will be reasonably easy. Wasn't especially as of recent years a big SWBS or ML collector so wasnt motivated for Premium.

Star Wars always sells out. Hellfire Set I felt along with the the Ghostbuster would sell out last. Would think the Drakkon would also be later. Hellfire Club is only really popular for the diehards. Those Baroque/Victorian outfits don't exactly scream superhero cool. Well gives the rest of us an idea of what would probably be the hardest to get tomorrow.

Surprised the Judge set hasn't sold out either already...Although keep in mind there was no physical SDCC this year so there should actually be plenty of stock since they couldn't sell that allotted stock out.

Relieved to hear that everyone's experiences were mostly positive today. Of course, today was for Pulse members only so that may have have shut out the scalpers and their bots. I wonder how things will go tomorrow when the rest of us schlubs get their turn?

I just want one Supreme Cobra Commander. That's all!

Will this be the same exact link we'd use tomorrow as well? Not sure if it'll be a different link because it's the general public's turn or not but I just want to know if I should bookmark it now or not.

Yeah, having gone to SDCC, Hasbro sells A LOT of volume there. They have a line like all day long (when you can get in without a scheduled time), and practically everything is available until Saturday or even Sunday mornings. Makes sense why a lot of items are still available.

My guess on which exclusive will sell out next:

#1 - Heroes of Endor (that we know)

#2 - Cobra Commander (that we also know)

#3 - ARC Troopers. I like to think there are enough Clone Wars fans.

#4 - Hellfire Club. Can the classic Emma Frost carry the set?

#5 - Quintesson Pit - Transformers!

#6 - Wampa. Star Wars is Star Wars.

#7 - Old man Logan and Xavier.

#8 - Power Ranger.

#9 - Ghostbusters. The people that got the first Ghost Buster series would need this set to get the second dog. But judging by the number of Ghostbusters just sitting on pegs at Target (next to the empty GIJoe pegs), I'd have to say there aren't that many that are collecting the set.

It's not even the correct second terror dog, it's literally just the same one (Vinz) from the first assortment. So it's probably even less desirable for that since I doubt unkempt Rick Moranis is going to be enough to push this pack.

Wait seriously? How hard would it have been to pack in two sets of horns like DST did???

Damn, they real looked out for Pulse members. Hellfire Box set is still available 3 1/2 hour later. Maybe that set wasn’t as big of a hit as I thought it would be, or they made an insane amount of them?

Not 100% sure on this, may be other factors but...

A lot of what's bought at the shows is meant for flipping online later. Or for a friend, or for your shop, for trades. Cost to be there already built into your weekend that includes other events.

Now that everyone is buying online, less incentive to do so day 1. Limit 1, shipping, required paid membership. And captcha, and checkout waiting. No window to flip between now and an eventual online sale time. All your friends can get their own same as you. Etc.

Tomorrow may be different, speculators scooping up what they can for long term flips. Could go either way.

I know personally, when at SDCC I buy more than I want. Some for friends, some because I just waited in line for 1-2 hours and I feel like I need to make the most of that wasted time. Here, I just grabbed the one thing I wanted, done.

Either way, I really appreciate how this process went today, it was the first NON cluster fuck of an ordering event this year and I appreciate it.

I’m thinking of the hellfire club set. I know the Star Wars Endor set will be single releases, so I’ll just wait for those.

P.S.

The $50 I spent on the ghostbusters set is my biggest regret ever. I only bought it to finish the set. Hasbro needed something new. Instead it’s the same stuff Mattel and then diamond did.

Bring out some new sculpted articulated Real Ghostbusters for god sake.

The Luis Tully set was a bit of a hard pill to swallow. Not really a $50 set. Same with Drakkon. And since they are still available 7 hours later, looks like very few people bit. Maybe if I waited i could get them on clearance....
