Ecto-1 sold out instantly on Target.com too. I was able to get one but missed the Joe figs.

the Ecto-1 dimensions:
(Overall): 9.02 Inches (H) x 15.98 Inches (W) x 4.49 Inches (D)

Yeah, way too small for 6" figures. But the description implies figures can go with it. So there's maybe a 3.75" figure line coming after all???

If they are going to keep using trash Target... they need to require Target to use multiple capta to slow down the bots.

Sadly they have no say in what Target does in their stores or on the website. But I really don't see what Hasbro gains from giving Target exclusives if its going to result in this much hatred and anger from the collecting community. I know they say its an incentive reward for the chain to order a higher quantity of product, but if its a extremely popular selling line, Target would be foolish NOT to order enough to supply in their stores anyway. Right now both Walmart and Target barely have any peg space for this line... just 1-2 pegs for a tiny little space compared to other toy lines that are clearly pegwarming. Anytime you go to either store, they are usually empty and sold out of even the regular mass retail Joe figures.

So with the apparent underestimated demand of this line, Hasbro doesn't need to incentivize Target or Walmart to order greater supply than they are already willing to order by giving them limited quantity exclusives like this.

I wish Hasbro would take the NECA route and just go back on whatever agreement they had with the retailers and offer these exclusives thru Pulse as well since clearly Target is unwilling to prevent scalper bots from ordering their entire inventory. NECA recognized the ongoing issue and did right by their customers with the TMNT line by offering most of this year's exclusives for "made to order" preorders on their site when Walmart and Target couldn't get their act together. Hasbro needs to do the same!

Well, I’m definitely not a scumbag scalper, so watch your mouth. And I checked Target’s site (not the app) about 5:03. I searched for “gi joe classified firelfy” and got results for all the classified figures. So if anything, put me in extremely lucky camp.

Hmmm. I don’t know. 9” in height actually sounds pretty good. The figures are 6” tall, so another 3” higher sounds promising imo. Kind of regretting passing it up now.

Yeah I dunno.... I keep flip flopping on whether or not this is the right scale for 6" figures. The photos of it in the hands of Reitman and the Hasbro reps make it look smaller. You're correct that at 9 inches in height, it SHOULD be big enough for the 6" figures. But the length and width seem a bit too short by comparison. It's probably not true 1:12 scale then and a little bit squat in proportion, kind of like the Kenner Real Ghostbusters Ecto-1.

Note this photo of the guys standing next to the full size one. For a 6" figure, 9" should be ideally sized at least for the height.

Compare the dimensions of this Ecto-1 to the mockup of Mattel's failed kickstarter Ecto-1 from 2013, and I'm now confident it's the right scale for 6" figures.

How can it be if its 9" tall? It should be more like 6" tall if its 1:18 scale. My true 1:18 scale Hot Wheels Elite Ecto-1 is exactly 6" tall up to that little white and red striped dome greeblie on the top of the vehicle.

Would have been nice to have a figure shown with Ecto-1. It looks to small. But the figures are smaller than marvel legends....but this looks like my hot wheels version. Again really wish during that freaking hour panel someone would have said or shown what scale this is.

Target pre-sales always go fast online. The purpose is to get you in the physical store. I’m sure these will be around. But what a bomb drop hasbro. Man.

I wonder if it’s to the top of that little tower device on Ecto-1? I’ve never been this confused on scale.

I was refreshing the site at 5:03 and I couldnt find the figure loaded onto the site until 5:15ish... and I was constantly refreshing and rechecking... so does Target roll it out online by region?

If it's not, and 9" measures to the top of the car and not the equipment above it, then that means it's even bigger and definitely able to fit 6" figures. I'm pretty sure it measures to that dome device though when you compare it to Mattel's mockup which also appears to be between 8-9" tall next to their 6" figures.

Well maybe the fact that it's part of the Plasma Series alone implied its scale, as we originally assumed, and therefore there was no need to clearly state "this is for 6" figures".

I don't think so. The attenna appears flexible and droops down, just like on the Elite Hot Wheels version, and they aren't even the tallest part of the vehicle in the photos when compared to all the stuff on top.

Not as worried about finding Ecto-1 physically in store.... then again this is the first Target GB exclusive... but generally Plasma series is not as hot as the GI Joe Classified series.
