Yes, total blasphemy. My nephew saw it on Sunday and he said that they totally changed the comic origins, but I would like to see a 1/6 Beast, and Banshee. The character designs look pretty true to the comics. I also saw a screenshot of Magneto in his classic traditional red costume and Helmet with Purple cape! I'd definitely buy that in 1/6 if they make it as oppose the the "Wolverine and the X-Men" animated series reverse colors that they also used in the first three X-Men movies.

Should be interesting to see what HT can do with the license. I would definitely like to see an Emma Frost come out of this.

How was that a suprise to anyone? You had four (count 'em, four) movies of preparation to tell you that this movie would not be based directly on the comics.

And why would it be blasphemous? Because it didn't follow the comics verbatim? Seriously, this is part of the X-Men movie universe. It is not the same universe as the 616.
