As much as I love the articulation and Jim Lee based design, he's way too big. Same size as Warpath, who's like 7'! Anyone else feel the same?

THANK YOU. I am glad I am not the only one who is picky about scale, PHEW! Now I know to skip on Cyclops, as much as I love that style/character. I'll stick with the XMO one in his modern costume. To me when it comes to scale. Bucky Cap from the gigantic battles mold actually works for that character [he is only 5'9] and the best MU figure is Constrictor. He is a hair taller, which works, because the character is 5'11.

Do you have a MU Cable? Is he bigger/smaller/same size as Warpath?

Constrictor looks great next to his old partner, Sabertooth (though I'd much prefer a slender Sabertooth from back then, before they started hulking him out).

Scale is important when viewed by comparrison, but as a stand alone figure, if it's an accurate representation of the comic portrayal, then I say that's fine with me, as much as we'd LOVE for Hasbro's design team to keep paint aps, unique molds, articulation and scale, they do to some extent but they don't always think in comparrison purposes, just does this figure represent a decent likeness to the original artwork and will it be something worth buying, personally Scale is important, in terms of visual likeness.. I love seeing my giant BAF sentinel tower over my XMO deadpool, but I'm not gonna nit pick if he's a 1/4'' taller then he should be. I deal with it or mod it to my likeness.

I won't quibble about his height, because he is a solid mold and anyone is lucky to find one, especially in the wild. Worst case scenario, at least keep the head mold.... but I'd personally keep him the way he is.

The figure that bothers me the most, down to my core, but I suck it up because he is one of the coolest characters [to me anyways] is Sentry. It is easy enough to fix his shit lips, but the fact he is as tall as Warpath bothers me...a lot. I think the Winter Soldier body mold would of been perfect imo. Sentry is only 6 feet and isn't built like a tank, just hits like one lol

I would have to agree about the scale issues, and I do have the cyclops. I could not get him to stand straight up, so his knees are bent a little. this reduced the issue somewhat.

My biggest problem with scale is juggernaut. The physical attributes on marvels site gives his height at 9' 5", but scale wise he's about two feet short of that.

As a side note I always use the thing as my median as his height is supposed to be 6' even.

I don't have Cable, but he looks about as big as Apocalypse. I also agree with Juggernaut and Hulk being too short! It seems like Hasbro can't decide on 3 3/4" or 4". I'm glad they fixed the issue with Wolverine, but what's next, Warpath sized Spider-Man??

I use XMO for Wolverine, Deadpool, Iceman and Cyclops. While posing 1 figure is not much of an issue, how you gonna pose ONLY one X-Man or Avenger??

On the other hand, I'm sure it beats having every figure the same size.

Cyclops never stood out as being too tall to me, but he could be taller than I remember. Cable is definitely tall, but he's such an awesome figure (JL Cyclops too) that I guess I've over-looked it. Maybe they're a little taller because they're newer molds with added articulation.

Since both of those figures are so articulated it allows me to pose them in a much more "comic looking" pose (buckling knees, squatting, wide stance, etc), so they're not standing straight up most of the time anyway.

I think this might be why the Cyclops is taller than Guardian/old-Cyclops body and Cable is slightly taller than Wrecking Crew/Gladiator body. They might of needed the slight bump in scale to add in the articulation.

I think he's fine and you guys are way too picky (but I think that's normal for comic fans). He's only a tad taller. COOL TOY REVIEW: Marvel Universe Photo Archive - Cyclops (Blue Team)

IMO, people making big deals out of 3.75" figures being to scale is a little much when at that size, its almost impossible to keep them all to scale. Cyclops is a great figure and I have no issues with him what so ever.

Well I'm not too nitpicky about scale either unless it looks wayy off. That's why I love the MU wolverines & the Cyke & Cable figures being of a certain scale isn't a big deal to me I remember some artists drawing cable to be twice the height of his dad & Hope which made no sense since he's mostly just a big guy that might be a head or two taller than most people in the MU & that's it.

I also find it weird how short the marvel characters are since most of them are 5" something & Ares is just 6 feet & that means I tower over him by 5 inches so it's interesting to me since I'm only shorter than some human or mutant characters that look human.

Guys come on...we all know when it comes to the 3.75 line, you can throw scale right out the window. Hulk, Colossus, Destroyer, the list goes on.

I agree.. for a true scale purpose u may have to mix in Marve Legends figures, Marvel Showdown, Marve Universe, Marvel Showdown, Wolverine Origins, and IM figures, a Ml sasquatch fits perfect in scale with the little guys, same with most baf's.

True that. I've picked up the baf apocalypse, onslaught, and sentinel. I remember these guys being big from the marvel vs capcom boss battles (not sentinel). The baf modok goes well with the aim solders too from pics I've seen.

Hmm, it seems some people are making more out of it than what was my intention. I know that these are not perfect scale, and I did not mean to infer "whine, whine, whine, these are not to scale". Now, I did have a problem with Wolverine being tall, when IMO I think the XMO version was spot on, but everyone seems to hate on that figure. Having recently purchased Warpath and Cyclops, they both "tower" over all the other figures. All lined up and posing, it does show, Cyke is huge!

Does that mean I hate him, not at all. But I don't see ankle joints making him that much taller, his body is a bigger mold. Does that mean they need to go back and re-do them all, my wallet says NO, hehe. But if this new mold is going to be the new current "go to" mold, we'll see how things look down the line. And I do like things to have some sort of scale. I would really hate if they made a 3.75" Sentinel, lol, or a Franklin Richards for that matter.

It shouldn't be too big of a deal since the figures still honor the fact that they are of a certain scale in comparison to other characters. The only time it can be terrible is if Apocalypse is the size of the tiny ant man that accompanies yellowjacket lol

Feel the exact same way. Even his suspender seems too short in some poses. It makes his belt ride up real high.

Any good customizer could easily make a better version with his existing parts I think. Just paint a shorter body blue/yellow, and transfer the head, hands, and straps over.

That varies as to the model Sentinel- some are only 20' tall while the first generation (the ones the Avengers defeated and Wolverine later stole to fight the hand) are almost 50' tall!

I dont think Sentinel size is a big deal- but Cyclops is too big to look right with other X-Men.

Anyone try swapping the head and gear onto the Comic Pack Cyclops body?

As to mixing Legends with MU- some stuff works perfectly- Modok's BAF is perfect MU scale- and looks awersome with the AIM soldiers and the Marvel Select Watcher rocks like no other figure has ever rocked before or since.
Looks awesome with Galactus too!

He's also supposed to be a bit on the thin side, like his brother- which is why Logan calls him "Slim", but his figures are usually built like linebackers!

Slim has been Scott Summers' nickname for a long time.

And he's 5'10. The default height for most Marvel characters according to the inaugural set of Marvel Trading cards in 1990. I also think those cards stated he was 195lbs (the default weight). 5'10, 195lbs is sort of contradictary to "slim".
