The other day I was at a Walmart looking for the Loki/Corvus set but only found the "leader" class Shockwave, and by "leader" I mean voyager sized figure with accessories allegedly worth an additional $20. The toy itself is an absolutely fantastic G1 Shockwave that turns into a space-warship thing which is really his original lasergun mode flipped upside down. The ship looks really nice with the extra parts attached giving it a greater sense of size and menace but then when these parts are attached to his robot mode he just looks silly with a bunch of seemingly random extra parts. Thankfully the pieces can alternatively be made into a command/battle platform which is actually a pretty cool base for the figure. Overall I think this thing is overpriced even given how the line has gotten more expensive lately but I love Shockwave and as a toy on its own it's great.

This morning I found Ironhide. It feels like it's been a good long time since we got a (mostly) proper G1 Ironhide but this figure makes up for it. It's just a solid well done deluxe sized figure. The only complaint is that in his Cybertronic van mode his arms are not very well hidden but they aren't awfully obvious either. Other than that he's all good.

The main goal of the hunt though was this two pack. My local Walmart got these in last night and then put them on the shelves this morning so I had fresh pickings (though they were mostly all equally good). Loki is just a nice total paint upgrade over the Ragnarok figure but at least one knife would have been appreciated. Corvus Glaive is the new half of the pack and the main draw for good reasons. The sculpt is thorough in its details, the paint is sharp (especially on his cloak and sash), and his glaive is a very cool accessory. He's a big ugly goblin thing with a fancy spear and that's great.

Shockwave and Ironside look great.
I picked up Ebony Maw, Loki/Glaive 2pk, Hercules, Cap in Quantum suit and Ronin on Friday at Walmart. Ordered the Hawkeye/ Black Widow 2pk to pickup today at Target. The Black Order together looks amazing. I have no interest in getting Nighthawk nor the Living Lightbulb. I did put the new Thanos head and the arm on the Thanos BAF from last year. It's not bad. Color is way off.

Got the new studio series Optimus Prime in today and goddammit this is a great Optimus. It's so heavily G1 but with the accenting details of the movie designs that just combine for an overall great look. It's a solid truck mode, a fantastic robot mode, and a nice transformation all wrapped in a G1 themed bow.

Now if they ever decide to do a full TF movie with that Optimus then I'll be all in. That looks really damn good.

Honestly my main takeaway from watching Bumblebee was that I wanted them to just do an entire movie set on Cybertron. Those scenes showing off the war were the coolest part of the movie for me, not that the rest of Bumblebee wasn't any good but those scenes stole the show.

Totally. I won't lie I have no plans to watch Bumblebee because personally I've hated him since I was a kid but I do remember seeing some of the Cybertron stuff in the trailer and it got me pretty jazzed. Just imagine if make a movie like War for Cybbertron. That s**t would be epic.

That looks fantastic! Mind if I ask where you found it and what the price was? My brick and mortar stores stink with stocking Transformer merch :P

I ordered it from Amazon for $30 (retail for the line) since they were selling it directly but currently they're sold out. I saw Rampage at Walmart the other day for something like $27 and he ships with this Optimus but I have yet to see this one in stores myself, hopefully it's new enough and Hasbro recognizes the demand so they do more to get him out there.

I found a thanos at target before the street date but the manager wouldn’t let me buy it and was super rude about it... so I ordered it off amazon and it was delivered for the same price, no gas or time wasted driving around.... I try to support brick and mortar retailers but they just don’t make it easy.
