There's something like 11 faces (maybe more like skulls) showing up in different places, 3 or so forearms and hands rolling into himself, and an assortment of spiky growths. It's like the only time I can think of where a figure actually represents his transformation power without just going to "weapon hands!" or the crappy DCC Arkham City figure's rubber mask. He's pretty dang massive too, he's about as tall as King Shark (a little shorter but not a lot) but then his general bulk is impressive. When they first revealed this figure I worried that it might not be as much bang for your buck as the awesome Swamp Thing but in hand he definitely merits the megafig value. Articulation is obviously his weak spot by design but really it's just his legs that take the hit so everything else can get some decent to good functioning motion. I am glad that he has a hinged jaw so you can close his mouth for a more traditional portrait but I personally have always liked Capullo's rendition with the weird sagging lower lip so that's how I'll leave him, but it's nice to have the option.
I thought McFarlane hit it out the park with basil Karlo.... and I’ll be damned I totally missed the limbs and faces, good eye en Sabah! I also think the trading cards included in this line are neat too.

Funny I wondered if he stunk too... I was just starting to get toys as a kid at the end of that line and had scareglow, mossman and stinkor and the gimmicks from those 3 are all time greats... I really loved the smell of mossman as a child... I need to get around to watching the new show

I finally came across the NECA Frankenstein's monster at a Walmart last night. I'd never seen either version before except for in a flea market where they were up-charging, it was getting a bit frustrating because of the Universal monsters so far this was the only one I actually wanted but I've been seeing the other two at Targets for a while now (especially since the Haulathon event). The store only had the black and white version, I would have been happy with either but I'm glad they only had one because otherwise I might have become stumped trying to decide between them. Anyway the figure looks fantastic, they nailed Karloff's likeness with all three heads and the paint (though monochromatic) is cleanly applied. I'd also say he physically handles well, sometimes NECA can be washy on this area. Really my only gripe is the small offering of accessories given the ultimate price tag, I know there wasn't much else that could have been included without bumping the price but he still feels light just having the shackles and daisies.

I'm going to get a 3p red cape, create a channel above the collar bones and use a couple of bar magnets to attach it. I don't think the red cape is canon but I cares not! It'll look cool as shit.

Found the first assortment of Transformers Legacy at Walmart so I got Blaster. The plastic-free packaging still threw me off even though I was aware of that going back to the line's reveal, it's going to take some getting used to. Blaster turns into his classic boombox radio without much hassle and he includes Eject who fits nicely into his cassette-tray. I don't think I'd consider Eject or Rewind to be as cool as Steeljaw or Ramhorn but that's probably so Hasbro can sell those later separately. Eject is still a great inclusion though, especially when in comparison the Siege Soundwave didn't come with any of his cassettes. Hasbro has been doing Transformers some great service these past few years so it's not surprising that Blaster is another solid score for the G1 roster.

Aye steeljaw that's the one i wanted. the cool lion thing. But this transparent blastic they used on eject is trash. Mine's broken and so has my mate's. He's not that bothered as he's been increasingly disappointed with Hasbro's transformers output of the past few years but I'm pissed off a bit cos bad enough it wasn't even a cool minion but it broke already? ok maybe I'd be more mad if it was steeljaw and broke already but lol enough of this crap transparent plastic...

With all of the register lock stories on these figures due to their street date, I was prepared for this pic to be a "Look At What I Passed Up" post but surprisingly enough both figures cleared the check-out without issue.
