The recent haul I made was the Marvel Legends Iron Spider. First windowless Legends figure I've acquired. Honestly, it makes no difference to me, I think to pay close enough attention you could spot repackaging. Like a Lego box.

I had this with my Spider-Man Origins Doctor Octopus. I've always wanted these two together.




I also obtained the Arkham Knight for my gamerverse. I made some Arkham Knight vs. Nightwing & Batgirl.

Got NECA's Last of Us 2 pack. When they first revealed this set the faces (specifically Ellie's) were pretty roughly painted but thankfully on delivery things are much improved. Ellie's expression is still decidedly peaceful for a character who's largely driven by anger and grief, an alternate angry head would've been welcome, but beyond that both figures look great. Ellie's tattoo is very sharply done and under close inspection she's even got her freckles. They also handle well as recent NECA figures have been, the company seems to be making active improvements in this area, but I tend to still be delicate with Ellie since her arms are so thin. The included array of accessories is respectively large and very well done. Ignoring alternate hands the set includes an axe, a standard machete, a leaf-blade machete, Joel's shotgun, one of Joel's shivs, Ellie's switchblade, Ellie's pistol, Joel's revolver, Ellie's scoped rifle, Ellie's bow with four arrows, and of course her backpack which can hold at least three arrows (I'm not brave enough to try all four at once). Really an acoustic guitar is the big thing I wish they would have included. I really would like for NECA to give us more from this license like Abby and some of the more unique infected (clickers and such) but I'm not going to be holding my breath.


Gamestop was taking an extra 25% off of clearance figures so I picked up bloody Kotal Kahn from MK11 for $14 after tax, they had both versions but this was the easy choice for me. The bloody sword (in-game labelled macana but this is supposed to be metal so I don't think it applies) looks particularly good. The torso articulation is rigid but otherwise he moves fine. His feet are kinda small for his stature but he does come with the usual disc base so that's an issue already solved. I mainly got him because I like his look and Kotal is one of my favorite "newer" kombatants to join the series. Once again I hope that McFarlane keeps the line running so we can see characters like Kano, Jade, Cassie, Shang Tsung, and so on.

Maybe its just me but joels headsculpt looks like jensen ackles soldier boy.
I like kotal as hes vry well done ( small feet aside ). I hope we get shiva and mileena soon. Id also like striker and kenshi as well.

The green Hornet's Black Beauty, the Roton, and Spirit came from a local Wal-Mart a week or so ago!

Everything else came from Geek'd-Con in Shreveport, LA last weekend! The stack of comics only cost me $14 since they were only 50 cents each!

Got the McFarlane Talon figure and honestly, it's amazing. The Court of Owls is definitely one of the best recent additions to Batman's rogues' gallery.



Talon attempts to kill Joker once Batman and Batgirl thwart him.













Now it's for the Rebirth Batman to shine.



Talon comes for the Joker again and gets further to achieving his goal, but is still thwarted by Batman and Batgirl. The Joker may be a psychopath but Batman and Batgirl don't believe he should die.




















Just for some extra fun, I recreated some of the Court of Owls covers from Scott Snyder's run including the Greg Capullo cover for issue #3 and Gary Frank for issue #6.

Now I can say goodbye to my DCUC Superman placeholder of the version with the mullet. I never liked Superman with a mullet in the comics or as a figure. My parents bought me that figure when I was in middle school. I lived with it until I got a better one. Now the only Supermen I want on the 6" scale are the Rebirth Superman and DCEU Superman from Mattel's DC Multiverse line. Oh, I should also mention this Superman came had a heat vision accessory in the bag. I'm not sure it actually came with that figure especially when the stand in the bag belongs to the DCEU Superman. It fits on all my 6" Superman heads fine, even Cyborg Superman's head.
