Very good actually. Way better than I was expecting. And no noticeable paint chipping or smears. I imagine the paint won't wear as well as the real deal. There is a small gap in the head and it doesn't close completely flush but that's the only issue. Not sure if the real deal is like that or not but looking at it I'm pretty sure I can fix it easily and I don't even notice it when it's sitting on my shelf.

I hope Habsro does start bringing these over because their price will be good but so many are coming out that I bet they will only do a few like Bumblebee and such. Hope Hasbro does Prowl.

Normally, I don't get too excited over re-paints, but I was actually really excited to pick up this guy today...

There's just something about this paint scheme that I really loved over his black and orange scheme with the original figure. He looks more menacing and brooding, and despite the darker colors, appears more vibrant than the rather plain original. Plus, at $16.99 USD (if you have the Target Beast Hunters coupon...) he's even cheaper than the regular voyager Predaking...

Went to the TOY SHOW in Raleigh today, and got some AWESOME STUFF!!! I wish I could go back tomorrow, but if you didn't go today, go tomorrow! There's tons of great toys there!

Skeletor was my eBay arrival today. Stopped by big lots and there was a ton of icarius, picked one up, and 2 adoras. Also had a count marzo that's been there for a while. Still gotta get a demo man and megator and a few others. Anyone need an adora icarius or marzo holla and I'll see what I can do. Love finding these at retail! Especially when I hear about the people that get there on the day they arrive and buy all of them.

I hope Hasbro does at least one of the Datsuns. Then the other two will eventually come out as well. I'd be fine with either Prowl or Bluestreak being first. G1 Bluestreak was my second Autobot ever and my first of the G1 cars, so he wins it out for me based on the nostalgia factor alone.

Same here, but then part of me doesn't cause I'm getting the Takara ones:P Arg...and would have to trade them up for the Hasbro ones instead extra arg

That's pretty much my dilemma with every Takara MP mold.

If we could at least get a confirmation that one of the Datsuns is coming Stateside, then I could save myself a couple of those arg moments.

Hasbro hasn't even hinted at anything regarding the masterpiece sideswipe mold.. A masterpiece Datsun would be WAY off in the future.. If it even happened at all.

Hasbro hasn't shown us that they're willing to pay for the license's of the Lamborghini or datsun's yet.

Plus, if hasbro does release these, and you're a fan of toon accuracy over toy accuracy, you'll probably be disappointed with hasbro's paint job, especially with smokescreen.

Because I remember getting the original when I was 9 or so. I was so happy because Vader finally had someone to throw down a ventilation shaft besides his son.

Which is why I think it might be cheaper/easier for Hasbro to go for the Datsun license first. No one said Hasbro has to follow the same order that Takara does. Hasbro has proven numerous times across multiple lines that they can skip some molds entirely or come back to others later as they see fit.

So just because Lambo came out before Prowl/Smokescreen/Streak in Japan, doesn't mean that Sideswipe must come out before Prowl/Smokescreen/Bluestreak in the US.

I'm much more a fan of toy accuracy, as my first experience with Transformers was the toys. The show, at least for me, came a few months later. That timeline of events has also affected a lot of my opinions regarding G1 (FIBRIR!).

Besides, my favorite of the Datsuns will always be Bluestreak. Kinda hard to mess up his deco (unless they decide to actually make him blue).

Heck yeah, and as long as distribution is a lot better as well then it's all good I pre ordered him but he'll get cancelled once Hasbro does there announcement! It's like MP SW all over again:P
