I think that Batman is incredible. The black and grey suit has always been a favorite of my own, and the head sculpt on that one is really good. I'm on the same boat as you with never being a big fan of the Nolan looks. I thought the batsuit looked great in "Batman Begins", but looked a bit too Metal Gear-ish in the others. "Dead End" nailed the look in my opinion. He'd look great up against a Hot Toys Predator!
Just curious, seeing as that looks like a third party figure, who made it? I'm pretty happy with him, though. Poseability is pretty good since he uses a muscular Hot Toys body. There are a few minor issues with it, though. The black paint on the very tips of his ears was scraped off in the box, but the tiniest drop of paint (or even a sharpie dab) will fix that. The pegs on the wrists are a little short, so the hands come off a little too easily - but that also actually helps with hand swapping. His ankles aren't really poseable because of the boots, but there isn't much they could do about that. My biggest gripe is the utility belt. It seems to be a thin nylon band, and the pouches and buckle are glued to it. I accidentally ripped the three pouches (they're one piece) on his right side off while putting him on a stand. Freaked out at first, but a tiny bit of hot glue made it good as new. Oh, and we seem to have similar tastes. I consider the Batman Begins costume to be the best of the movie batsuits. Would've been great with two changes: make the head able to turn like in TDK, and lighten the body from black to charcoal grey at the very least - but preferably an even lighter shade. And just so I'm staying somewhat on-topic, I got my Deadpool #27 in the mail yesterday. For anyone not aware, it is now in the Guinness Book of World Records for most comic book characters drawn on the cover. Take a look at this thing: ![]() Last edited by Poison Shadow; 04-11-2014 at 11:33 PM.. |

Mine has never let me down. Granted, I've only used it to play classic NES games on a RockNes emulator (I think that's what it's called), but it's always worked very well. It was definitely worth the $10 or so I spent on it.

Got my bagman from eBay today. The bag was glued at a weird angle though you can't really see his eyes.

Awesome toy haul weekend! Picked up Snake Mountain for $7.50 from a local antique shop, along with Boss Hog for $6.00!!! The Biker Scout is courtesy of the trade with Frank Richards, and the Cobra Combat Ninja is from Five Below!!! (I also picked up another Crimson Guard, Ultimate Snake Eyes and Ultimate Cobra Commander (not in photo)...

Wow, some great finds there. Nicely done, especially that Boss Hogg figure, he is really white! Many of these turned yellow over time, too bad if you didnt get his hat though. I have a strange fascination with this Boss Hogg figure. I still have mine from younger days. I need to get his Caddy, would make for a great display. Him and Pimp Daddy Destro can cruise around town...

Whoa, a combat ninja at 5 below, that's an amazing find when you see how much people ask for it on ebay or Amazon, you're my hero!
And 7$ for a Snake Mountain, it's great as well. Does the mic still works?

Bam! Rhinox has FINALLY hit stores on the East Coast !!! I was getting impatient and nearly ordered him from HasbroToyShop, but with Hasbro's hit-or-miss paint jobs on the Generations line lately, I didn't want to take any chances. Whirl looked cool too, but, having little knowledge of Gen-1, I don't understand his popularity, and I left the two they had for someone who would appreciate him and be excited to find him, lol !
![]() With Wave 1 of the 6" Black Series resurfacing everywhere, I decided to pick up a second Sandtrooper so that my other one will finally have a companion. Still no Wave 3 Stormtroopers though. ![]() Last edited by Frank Richards; 04-14-2014 at 10:01 PM.. |

oh well.. at least you got one.. he's a great figure.. and i COMPLETELY agree about whirl..he looks cool, but he's REALLY not worth it. the legs are so horrible, they ruin the figure. whether you position them the way they're supposed to be, or spin them around, they suck both ways. |

Just got Generations Whirl from HTS yesterday after being on backorder for three weeks. Highly anticipated and it's great that I finally have him in my collection (the Gen. Vortex remold just wasn't cutting it).
Hopefully the next wave of Cyberverse/Legends 2-packs and deluxes come out soon. I need more Lost Light crew members! ![]() Quote:

G1 whirls legs looked great and worked perfectly with the figure.. these however, completely suck. like i said, if you leave them in the intended position they look awful and don't work well, and if you spin them around, they still look awful and don't work well. the only vast improvement is that the legs have a knee joint.. other than that, there are zero improvements. had they designed the figure based off of the original whirl, and the original whirl art.. where his knees bend properly, this figure would've been pretty cool. but, they decided they wanted to go with more comic style legs.. which they COMPLETELY failed at.. rather than giving him the movie starscream raptor type legs, they simply articulated the knees the wrong way and figured that'd be good enough.. well, it's not. this is a terrible compromise of source materials. either go all G1 or all IDW.. and if you're going to find a middle ground, do it the right way.. i'm sorry.. from the waist up, whirl is pretty nice looking, but the legs ruin it.. there's no way to make him look imposing on a shelf.. he's either gotten broken knees.. or has a child's ski for feet .. (yes, i understand that he basically had ski's in G1.. but, they were big and fit his proportions nicely, these don't) it's just a shame. |
