Trivial, I know you will not want to spend the money on upgrading Ultra Magnus, but I highly recommend the Fansproject upgrade kit. TFX-01 City Commander (Parallax) set. I love it and the weapons kit they made later to give a true Magnus feel to the figure. One of the few times I have dropped the money on 3rd party TF stuff. I also got the Hot Rod to Rodimus TFX-04 Protector (Parallax) upgrade kit Fansproject made. It gave Rodimus a trailer and bulk to make him look like a leader.

Nope just this one that I saw, unless someone else picked up the others before I saw this.

Picked up this Spidey in the sale in a local store, so that was a nice find.

Rocksteady and Bebop are incredibly hard to find over here in the UK and they are really expensive online, so when I saw these guys in Asda (owned by Walmart), I couldn't really pass them up.

These are slightly different designs compared to the Bebop and Rocksteady you can get individually so that's a nice thing too (apart from the fact that Bebop has a black instead of purple mohawk). There's a third set which is Raphael vs Shredder - again, both different designs (Shredder has a purple bottom and no cape). No Donatello set though...

i have city commanger set as well.. but with the new, great looking, leader magnus coming up, i don't know why someone would want to drop between $150 - $250 for the real city commander set.. or even $40-$50 for the knock off version.

Damn Phantom...that's one hell of an impressive set. I'm not a big Magnus fan though, and I actually prefer my TF:Prime Magnus over his classic look. But still...that's a pretty sweet set.

I don't spend too much when it comes to upgrade kits, but I do plan on getting the upcoming weapon sets for Dreadwing and Skyquake, as well as the Boosticus upgrade. Can't have Bruticus looking too wimpy next to Menasor once he's completed. =)

As much as I like the new Leader Magnus coming, I think I have the same problem with him as the new Leader Megatron. They are just too big. They are as big as Jetfire and that is way out of scale for the classics for me. I just can't have Megatron nearly as big as a full combiner.

yeah.. but magnus is supposed to be large.

plus this is going off of IDW scale. a voyager magnus would be out of scale with voyager springer and even voyager prime. magnus is a truck with a trailer after all.

with all that being said, the upcoming magnus looks gorgeous. much better than city commander even. the only complaint i have about the new magnus are the inaccurate colored thighs and crotch. otherwise, it looks like a solid figure.

leader megatron works in two ways.. one, he's a huge tank and it's the closest robot mode accurate megatron that they've made in a long long time.

also.. it's a decent placeholder for a potential masterpiece megatron. leader megatron scales well with MP10.

oh.. and i REALLY hate the jetfire mold. so, i don't own him.. but you're right, if you're trying to put together a G1 shelf, a leader magnus might be just a little bit too big.. but again, he's always been big.

Just got this bad boy delivered yesterday. I'm overall really impressed with this S.H. Figuarts Batman Injustice. The cape would be nicer if it was a thick yet posable rubber material rather than plastic; but its still posable and overall you can do quite a bit with this one as a display figure. He has more accessories and interchangeable hands/head with him too, but this is the current pose. I may post more pics of him later if someone has interest in seeing more. He's going to look very nice as a display piece.

YEah, Scale has always been an issue with TF figures. I have tried for years now to keep what I buy in the same scale area, but some make their way into my collection anyway. I mean Orion Pax was sooo tiny and so were the classic Seekers, but they are still on my shelf. I still don't think Starscream should be shorter than Megs and Soundwave, But the next Starscream coming is going to be leader class off the Jetfire/Thundercracker mold. I use the Prime Cartoon Starscream Voyager as my go to Scream because that version was great. So I try to stay G1 style most of the time but not always.

Despite the entire wave being on the peg, I grabbed only Scarlet Witch, leaving the rest as they didn't interest me much. Hopefully I didn't ruin someone's night by being the guy who cherry picks.

Has this been confirmed or are there pictures of this? I've had little interest in the new TC on his own, since Skywarp and Screamer were not initially announced as coming down the pipe...

I haven't seen any of that wave yet, but I also sometimes feel a bit guilty when I pick up the only one left of a figure. The joy of finding something is stronger than the guilt, but when I got the only 6" Stormtrooper my local walmart ever had I knew someone would later see the rest of the wave and probably think some filthy, rat-man hybrid scalped the only trooper.

I am heavily guessing, but one of the upcoming issues of the Combiner Wars comic has Starscream in yet another new body that looks a lot like the body Thundercracker currently has in the comics ( and the body his upcoming figure is based on), plus assortment listings are guessing a fall release.

Generations Leader Starscream Biography Possibly Revealed - Transformers News - TFW2005

Generations Combiner Wars Wave 3 Pre Orders and Release Dates - Transformers News - TFW2005

Mostly speculation right now, but I would say there is an above average chance the rumors of a Leader Class Scream are going to be true. Maybe will see at SDCC??

Ahhh...I just noticed that story on Seibertron. Looks like there might be a good chance that MP-11 Starscream could be coming to TRU in the very near future as well.

If there is an announcement as to whether or not Skywarp is coming as well in leader class...then I'll be racing out to grab TC as soon as he's coming out. Hopefully, Hasbro will realize that black and purple jets sell just as well here as they do overseas...

Odin will be the first BAF I complete legitimately without buying parts off ebay. I only mean to keep Hawkeye and maybe Scarlet Witch, and Thor will likely become a custom New 52 Frankenstein, but if anyone wants Sentry and Iron Fist LOOSE minus the BAF parts, just let me know with a PM!

And my TMNT collecting is finally done! I told myself I was done once I got the blimp, Bebop and Rocksteady. It took me a couple of months, but I finally got the last one.

Sad, ain't it? That new party wagon looks great too.

Alas, DC Collectibles and Hot Toys are my main passions now. I'm even going to start selling off my 3.75" collections soon, which I expect to be a traumatic process.

I, for one, think we need some sort of "support group" type thread here on the Ark, for those of us painfully parting with especially beloved parts of our collections.
Lol, I'm only partially joking, because it can be a truly harrowing process !

After far too many of my Lord of the Rings Toy Biz figures began to "melt", I preemptively sold off my collection, with a serious disclaimer/warning to the buyer.
As much as I loved them I couldn't bear to witness their ongoing decay, and it was sad to see that well over 3/4 of them were experiencing that weird, sticky, slimy, "melting" that older soft plastics sometimes unfortunately experience.
I had hoped that Bridge Direct would do a LotR line alongside their Hobbit figures, but well, that doesn't look like it will ever happen, so I'm still looking for some sort of LotR merch to fill the gap in my collection.

But anyways, a thread like that to help us part with figures that we know we need to part with, but are having trouble parting with, might be a good idea to lessen the trauma.
Lol, we have this thread to happily display our newly acquired stuff, so it makes sense that we have a thread for the inverse; when we are sadly parting with figures.
