Hey guys, been lurking a bit, figured I'd stick up a custom I had made for a friend.

My friend, Spoon, had always wanted a Jetfire and bought one on eBay a few years back.

Unfortunately in a devastating apartment fire Jetfire was exposed to such intense heat that he was destroyed.

When Spoon was going to throw him away I stepped in. I salvaged every part I could from the original and rebuilt him. I used what I could find at the time (like the fact he has two right arms).



I gave Spoon back Jetfire as Darkfire (the idea being that he had stayed a decepticon and had gone with an evil color scheme, also there is one frame in the first episode Jetfire shows up in that he is black) for his birthday. Darkfire has come with us on the last couple web-comic conventions as our mascot(Thick Pie).



After the last convention Spoon left Darkfire wrapped in a tee-shirt. The print on the shirt became stuck to the surface of the paint and Darkfire's shoulders broke and he came apart into two.



Instead of repainting him I just scraped off the surface(I had a pretty good clear coat) and did a quick detail as battle damage. After he was fixed again I also gave him a quick upgrade. A knockoff booster pack, decepticon rubsign, decepticon labels all around, and danger and warning labels all around.



This was his present this year. There are a couple parts where you can see I was rushed, or that I didn't bother to fix the paint from transforming damage. I'll just start all over next time he breaks.
