Greetings from Malaysia, thought i share something that i've done recently(yeah, i really took my time with this one). this is from the what if? civil war. it's a repaint from the MU extremis armor. any comments are welcomed. thank you guys.

Also to add on to my previous comment, my next MU project: Doc Ock. bought the one from the Amazing Spider-Man toyline. liked the sculpt but the backpack tentacles were disappointing so i thought i use tentacles from the Spider-Man Origins toyline(articulated and longer tentacles). I need to ask you guys though:
1) do i use sculpey to add a backpack behind and attached the tentacles?
or
2) do i just dremel-ed the holes behinds doc ock's back and just put the tentacles in?

Please share your thoughts and I'll post up the completed pic once it's done. Thank you.

These fucking scalpers are getting REALLY FUCKIN ANNOYING...REALLY!

Hit wally this morning,saw 4 cases of the ML avengers...But guess what..All they had was Caps,IM,Thor and 1 Loki...Really....I was at this walmart like 6 hours prior,checked the pallets last night and they weren't even out last night....So someone must have stocked them this morning,and a FUCKIN SCALPER GRABBED ALL THE HULK'S AND hawkeye's....WTF MAN.....If it WAS a collectors the other figs would have been gone as well...Not every single IM,Cap,Thor on the pegs from the cases....Fuck....It really gets annoying some times being a collector...This is why I shop online more or less...But these Exclusives are killing me...And then Hasblo.....They make millions of crappy figs that peg warm....But ones collectors want they ship a few cases to a store if any.....This is why I don't shop ebay....Only amazon mostly....I won't give a fuckin scalper 1 more dollar of my money....End of rant.....

I love the danger room dio. I noticed you use that background in your other shots. It works well.

Must do the purple cotton ball trick. You can place them in multiple spots to add to the teleporting effect.

Yup I did this same concept too. It was one of my first customs. I used a more metallic blue for mine. The shade of blue you used reminds me of the 6" one.

Its hard to do the backpack to where it would have to be low profile so that it doesn't stick out and it'll make him more back heavy. I just drill holes in the back of mine and it seems to work well. Let us know how this works out for you. I'm interested to see the results.

Lol. Remember not all midnight pallet raiders are scalpers. If u can't beat em, learn from them. Theyre just a little more hardcore than you. Early bird catches the Hulk. It happens. Sucks to have to deal with it, but that's our hobby, homie.

It's frustrating, dude, I know. I thought I'd never get Renegades Storm Shadow, but I got it here. Just be patient. One way or another, you will get that Hulk.

There is much truth to this. I got that 6" Hulk only to trade on this forum. If I would have found 5, I would have bought 4 or 5 to spread the wealth right here.

I really like Hasbro; I'd be sad if they weren't in the game. But they can frustrate the hell out of fans sometimes.

Thanks for the comment regarding the Iron man repaint. I like yours better, i couldn't find metallic blue and red paint so i thought i make it in a more matte look..?
and about the upcoming MU Doc Ock project, if i drill holes behind doc ock's back, will it disrupt the articulation of both his arms? Could you post up pics of your doc ock for reference please? I would really appreciate it. Thank you again. Cheers!!

I actually left the red how it is on the iron cap. I only painted the blue and silver. I know that the what if version has the triangle on his chest but the star chest piece from iron patriot makes more sense for iron cap. I just haven't brought myself to buying another iron patriot for his chest piece.

About the doc ock custom. I made a different version of him. I went with a movie version with a coat. The main appeal I wanted from a doc ock figure was being able to have poseable tentacles. I don't see why drilling into the back would disrupt the arm articulation but I don't have that doc ock figure so I'm not 100% sure.


I made different swappable claws so he can stand on them.

And I added magnets so he can fight spidey on the walls. I loved these fighting scenes from the movie.

I love hasbro too,but there case assortments suck...I Hulk,1 Widow....I can go on and on....And no offence Shockwave bu I've earned the right to bitch at Hasbro from time to time...I've spent waaay over a 100 grand on their products,between my kids,and I....

Its really hard to think that ppl are all picking these up for their friends,when you go to ebay and see a set of these for 300+..Like I said I don't shop ebay,but I look...Scalpers are the worst....

I also liked that tentacles!

They were really heavy so it was hard to "peg" them :S
