Picked up a Thanos/Adam Warlock Comic 2 pack today at Target. I had to get it just because I've never seen it in a store before.... Also grabbed a Spider-Man and Thunderball comic 2 pack there. I don't need the Thunderball 2 pack, but thought someone else on here might want it. The card is not mint, but it's more like a VF I think. Maybe NM. Anyways, it's up for grabs.

I am just fed up with the whole scene...

plus they are just toys, and to me the squeeze is becoming worth less than the juice...

If they are still showing in store inventory, then they are somewhere in the store and that employee hasn't purchased them yet. For them to be holding onto shit like that is against company policy, first of all. But, I would have asked the person if you could talk to this person selling on eBay. No threats, no attitude. Simply ask them nicely if you can grab a few of those because you've been searching all over for them. You'd be surprised at how much more can get done for you if you are nice first. If nice doesn't work, then resort to other means. I tried to be nice to that Target manager I mentioned a while back, but he just gave me straight up attitude and was completely out of line. I did not deserve to be treated like that as a customer, and he did not deserve to have the privilege of dealing with customers as a manager. For that reason, I called corporate on his ass. Did they do anything, even after I made 2 follow up calls? Probably not. Oh well, water under the bridge now...

There are collectors that work at my local TRU, but they never hold onto stuff for themselves when a truck comes in. They are not allowed to hide stuff either. Once the shipment comes in, they must restock everything, and put as much as possible out on pegs/shelves. Whatever is left over gets left in the stock room. They are not allowed to make purchases during their shift, however it's all up for grabs once their shift is over. I befriended the head stock guy manager type there and we're actually pretty good friends now. He tells me all the rules they have to follow. I've also befriended almost all of the other employees as well. It's fun to walk in and everybody knows your name like it's the TV show Cheers. Plus, I get to hear some of the crazy chisme that happens there. I'm a people person and I like making new friends, sue me.

I don't doubt that there are people out there that hide shit for themselves when shipments come in, but honestly, they should at least have the decency to purchase the damn things so they don't show up i store inventory. They also shouldn't hog them all because there will be one pissed off customer that will call corporate and fire will rain. Seriously, corporate takes that very seriously and will audit stores and employees to ensure that everyone is in compliance with the company policy. You'd be surprised at how easily TRU Corporate will fire an employee based on circumstantial evidence and a customer complaint.

Are there any figures from the old 90's X-Men line that work well with MU? I used to have nearly all of them once upon a time. Strong Guy and a few others look like they might fit in but I think most are not the right or style. I do miss my big orange space suit Cable lol.

Gonna say that I think a lot of this goes on and I know my TRU has some of as my sister-in-law told me she saw it going on when she worked there. What I don't get is why you don't talk to store manager or the corporate office? I'm pretty certain the employee would be gone right quick if they take stuff before the store opens. It's bad for TRU as I think the employees get a discount. I know what would have happened to me when I worked at Best Buy if I had bought all of a popular item on my discount to resell for profit.

There is if they use their discount or take them before a store opens. Most retail chains have strict policies about how an employee can only use their discount for themselves and not others or to sell the items. Other than that yes, they can do what they like as regular customers during normal business hours.

And yes, I do know that lots of people violate these policies. Just saying they would be fired if caught.

I can't speak to TRU specifically, but I saw people at all different career levels fired from KBToys for reselling during my time there.
