I really liked that winter soldier. How'd you manage to find that?

So that would make him shorter than the MU Modern Thor?

Probably.. MU "modern" Thor is a pretty big figure. I should know.. I specialize in the collecting of big Marvel dudes.

...insert dude jokes here....

Well to be fair, TFW is a Transformers site, so I doubt they would. But I'm sure if there was any mention of Marvel toys, our newsies will post it.

I thought she was great in Lost in Translation. Not much after that though...

It magically appeared at the TRU after not being there for a month or so. I bet someone returned it after not being able to sell it.

I know that lack of articulation is a huge complaint on these, but for Hulk in particular, I think the articulation is very specifically reduced more than the rest just because of the super 'smash action'.

The head sculpt is great, I thought. I am also unsure that Target or Walmart is going to sell these for much less than TRU. TRU at the moment is selling MU figures for less than the other two in my area...

In other news, I finally finished my gigantic battles, and like other Arkers, got around to getting my Invaders pack (or that's what I call it).

And I returned to the TRU that I got the deluxe figures from yesterday, to find some beauty. It's almost like seeing the first flower blossom after a long winter, lol.

I bought one of each for my own collection (at $9.99 each, yikes), but couldn't get two of each from the same store, since each store only got one box of 3.75"s. So I had to drive across town, convince the other TRU to open their stock and sell those to me as well. I picked up one double of each character for you guys. Loki, Comic Thor, Stealth Iron Man, and Iron Man #03 are all one per case, while the other four, movie Hulk, Iron Man, Cap, and Thor are all two per case.

I also specifically went back to get a set of the minimuggs for blueboy. I grabbed the second just in case you gents want them too. I figure I'll just return whatever no one wants in a week or so, so let me know if you're interested in any of the 'doubles' I picked up. Thanks!

Haha sorry Treble, I meant to say during the Hasbro conference that Hasbro didn't mention any new MU updates or what not, not that Toyark itself didn't post the news. I'm sure they would have.

Hey, Pete...what did you say to convince TRU to get the box and open it? I've never been able to get them to do it.

Well, each time, I found an employee who asked me, "Can I help you find something, Sir?"

Then I'd ask for the Avengers movie action figures. In the first place, they expressly stated multiple times that they had a street date of Feb 27. So I asked them if they could look it up in the computer since I had heard of them getting released on the 5th. Once they found that to be true in the computer, they verified it with the manager and pulled out all the Avengers stuff.

The second TRU couldn't find a street date for the figures anywhere in the computer, which they said is good, and means that there isn't one. So they pulled it out too.

In both cases, I had to use two numbers, the TRU item number and the SKU:

TRU item #: 379031
UPC: 653569699446
DPCI: 087060371

Otherwise I think they'd have trouble finding them in the computer.

The issue is on the boxes. They're labeled "Do not put on shelf until 2/27/12"

The second TRU had to check and see if they'd ring up before giving them to me. Neither had a problem doing so.

How is that Ultimates Thor scalewise? Is it smaller than MU or a close match?
I really want one to customize into Thunderstrike- or swap his head onto the Sentry's body.

Can you give us some side-by-side pics with MU Avengers? Iron man and Thor and Hulk and Cap in particular- dont really care about poor Loki!

I don't open them myself, but I measured Ult Thor against Modern Thor in package with a ruler, and Modern Thor was just a sixteenth or two taller. I think the Ult Thor looks bulkier though.
