"On the verge of"? They are THERE, bro. This, Amazon Ronan and The Mojo 3-pack prove it.

He means that this was the 12 inch mold of Captain America released 7 years ago. The head, gloves, boots, and shoulder pads obviously changed. That Cap was already overpriced for me at $50. But now they jack up the price another $20 for what? New body parts and a hammer? The $50 Cap fig had way better paint apps, alt head, helmet, shield, and a set of hands as accessories. Super Adaptoid has no alt hands, a shield and hammer, and a whole lot of unpainted green plastic.

Agreed. In recent times it's become the Hasbro way too see how much they can get away with at the highest, most exploitative price possible.

Thanks. Wow, I had to Google it, and seeing the pictures that does remind me that I've seen that before, but I guess I blocked the memory of the 12" Cap from my mind.

The Monica and Secret Wars Doom is a most pleasant surprise, Monica was my favorite Captain Marvel back in the 80's and loved her in the Avengers back then. This is the figure I've always wanted of her, she looks great.

Normally I'd say I wish this was not in a 2-pack, but Secret Wars Doom is good nostalgia too, had the original figure back in the day. I wouldn't buy it separately, but if I have to purchase Monica this way, this makes up for it a bit.

Super-Adaptoid looks really cool as well, not enough of a must have for me to purchase, but definitely getting the retro comic vibes and the 12-inch size to go with the 6-inch scale line will look great with other figures.

Damn the 90s Sersi and Black Knight nostalgia hits hard. I just wish BK didn't have such a "I'm constipated and using all my might to push" face.

To be fair, that's pretty accurate to the style of the time.

I just wish he had the requisite 90s anti-hero perma-stubble.

True, they are missing the stubbles. That is essential!

Why the heck is Thor Vs Destroyer $69.99 on Amazon? Did they price it wrong? It's $59.99 on Pulse, EE, etc.

That’s not going to happen with this or any other retail company that has been gouging since the pandemic started. Prices, generally speaking, do not go back down once the market has demonstrated that it will endure/accept an increase.

This is not the Marvel/Diamond Select Destroyer right? It's a new mold? How does it stack up to that one?

You guys, in the US... here in Holland it'll probably be 90 euro's (95 usd)

New mold, however, it pales in comparrison to the Select version IMO.

Theoretically, the Select version cost 30 dollars and thia set is retailing for 70.

That means thor will cost 40 dollars.

What is Hasbro doing? I suspect they will cut production soon, to reflect market demand, ensuring high prices remain.

Attempting to gouge the hell out of us? But you're right in what you haven't said. These price increases are not sustainable.

Yep I've seen too many legends on clearance or at discount stores. Prices WILL go down if you don't buy at inflated prices, this is basic economics supply and demand. These toys are not Veblen goods people, just wait for a deal and the prices will go down.

Wow, the paint on the new Thor is... pretty bad. It doesn't look like he's wearing a costume, it looks like he's wearing body paint.
