Do I want it?

Yes.

Do I want it badly enough to pay $30+ after shipping?

Fuck no.

I felt a bit meh on the whole release of avenger 60th figures apart from black widow, i thought they'd with some cool accessories but alas it feels kinda bland.

I think I agree, they look good, but other than the updated Widow body, I think I am good. And I am not one to complain about prices much, but why is this $3 more than other stuff? Are we seeing a new price increase? I really hope not, GI JOE is killing my wallet now.

$30? Why? There's no reason this can't be a normal single release like every other Mark 1 save for the two pack for IM1.

So the only paint on this thing is the ark reactor, face holes, and some scratches. The hand repulsors are not even painted like the box art. So much for a 60th anniversary figure.

Aside from the arc reactor on the chest, I don't see a drop of paint on this thing anywhere. ZERO reason for this fucking thing to be $30.

Always hilarious to see people shocked that Hasbro is offering another Marvel and/or Star Wars figures at a price deemed unacceptable by the majority of customers.

It's like all those times I said "it's only going to get worse" (and it has) I was ignored or told to f*** off.

That figure looks like a dst prototype reject. Add the pfp and you've got a big fat NOPE.

This Ironman should have been on a “ToyBiz” vintage card with window.

Jeeeeeez, $28? This and Elektra DD were going to be my first non-gift Legends buys in, like, five years, but ouch.

1) It's nice there's some paint on it besides the faceplate holes and chest decal, and didn't have that chest decal expand beyond the well like the sad MK III
2) The translucent metallic effect they started (I believe) with Lightning Collection really is a huge step up from the old standard
3) It's awesome to see a Marvel Legend that isn't 90% reuse

Buuuuuut, it's still $28. For that price they should've done something more. Maybe:

1) Smoke effects it can actually stand on/a basic flight stand ala McF Batman Beyond
2) A Stark head under the faceplate like Toy Biz did
3) Retro packaging to properly show off the figure
4) Painted the darn metal

On the one hand, I totally get that a figure with so much unique tooling requires a good return since so little of it can be reused down the line; they really are making less profit on this particular figure than most ML, even if tooling budget is allocated on a wave level rather than per figure. But on the other hand, few consumers understand that, all they see is a basic figure with almost no paint that seems to be costing more just because it's Iron Man. There needs to be a perception of increased value, and a couple of slugs doesn't quite do it, especially when most of them are unusable without a flight stand.

It feels like we've been waiting for an update on this figure FOREVER

That Secret Wars Doom is so sweet.

For the life of me, I don’t understand why this wasn’t carded on a 1980’s card. At the very least another secret wars figure should have been paired with him.

Doom's the only one with some decent paint/wash. Just don't look at his arms and legs because that belt on the leg is supposed to be green. I guess Hasbro's new business model is: paint free!

Secret Wars Doom is sweet, but he's bound together with a figure that won't have a ton of interest. Couldn't even give Monica some effects, an unmasked head - ANYTHING? And we're back to the no biceps swivel arms again for a female character.

TBF, Capt. Marvel was in the Secret Wars comic that was put out to advertise the line. She just never had a toy in the line.

I remember that comic like it was yesterday. That was when Jim Rhodes was filling in as Iron Man (because Tony was doing his "oh hai I'm an alcoholic street bum" thing) and there was this hilarious scene where he awkwardly tried hitting on Captain Marvel (because they were the only two black people on the team, of course) and she just totally blew him off, lol.
