Elektra's big arms? His PUnisher eye? I'd say those are cons. Yeah, he might be able to just buy a new one, but he is reviewing that figure, so he should be talking about THAT figure specifically. I'm not saying he has to drone on and on about things like paint being out of the lines or something like a certain Youtube reviewer does, but the negatives are right there in the pictures. Also, Elektra's arms are not limited to just that one figure.

The process isn't new but for Hasbro this specific method is. The old method was essentially good ol' painting just done by machines, I assume, but this new method appears to happen as a single spray-on stamp or something. The giveaway of the new method is that it looks fuzzy and pixelated if you look at it real close, if it weren't for that fuzziness I wouldn't be able to say they were doing anything specifically different.

I know I have always loved and collected the MCU figures and the improvements in the past couple years is great. I agree with toyark and that as action figures I don't see any cons in the latest batch of legends.
Toyark is definitely entitled to their own opinion. Everybody has different opinions.
As for my view on this, bad paint apps is one thing. But when this new technology has a defect, the whole face is shifted. It's weird! I've seen the same thing happen with the SH Harley Quinn(Suicide Squad)

I am a fan of the bald head personally for my Blade. Though I liked the 1st two movies I'd rather think of this figure as what it is, comic book Blade not movie.

I need a 6 inch Wesley Snipes head to slap on this. I still like his Blade look the best.

First off, you give Blade a con for not having a fanged head or a gun, but didn't give anyone else cons for more important reasons?

Secondly, the bald zigzag head is definitely a con. Who the hell would actually go outside with their hair shaved like that?

Third, you didn't even talk about how he can't stand up straight.

Anyway, the head sculpt with the actual hair is awesome. The only issue on mine is the right wrist hinge is loose.

Blade's the only one I'm missing from this wave now, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. It does have that "Wesley Snipes" inspired look, which is fine by me since that's the only ONLY time I've ever been even remotely interested in the character so that's the version I want.

As for the face printing, it's not perfect, but I get that Hasbro is still new at this and it is still a new technique for mass retail lines. I think as time goes by it will get better.

I'm not saying she's supposed to be a twig (even though the actress who played Elektra was). I'm saying she's supposed to be proportionate. Women who are fit look proportionate, not like Popeye.

I got my replacement Jessica Jones just a little while ago. The Jessica itself looks like she got punched in the right eye and the hair is hardly even glued on. One little tug is all it will take for her to go Nebula on me. Thank the gods I will be sending that one back to Amazon. On the important piece, the ab crunch on Man-Thing is fine. YAY!!

Well, finally...a Destro review of this wave that I agree with 100%. I was a big fan of the Wesley Snipes movies as well (although they got slowly worse with each installment), and this figure really captures that feel. I actually wish the bald head had zero hair, as he could then pass for Kirk Jones (they guy who played him in the under-rated Spike TV series), and it's obvious that the head with hair is meant to invoke Snipes without specifically being him.

I also agree that no guns is a glaring omission for Blade, but most toy collectors have enough spares lying around that we can make up for that unfortunate mistake on Hasbro's part. Blade is the tops of this wave for me, personally.

I haven't seen Hela in-hand yet so I can't comment, but overall I think the old paint apps looked better than the new digital ones...cleaner, sharper, and more fitting with the comic book style.

Yes. As I said before, if you review a car and it doesn't start, you don't ignore that fact because other cars the dealer sells DO start.

Besides, YES, ToyArk usually does point out bad paint apps in their "cons" section, which makes the omission here so baffling.

I just looked at the Blade gallery again after reading this (since a figure's ass isn't the first thing I check out), and I have no idea what you're talking about. This is just a really weird post.

Yeah, the only one that matters. Seriously though, I've seen all three although I wish the first one was the only one that existed.

However, Snipes had actual hair in the movies, not some random small zigzag on each side of his head with a bald cut for everything else. Even the actor that played him in the TV show (which was better than the two sequels) didn't have zigzag hair. That's a hairstyle I could see being made fun of in an episode of The Boondocks (god I miss that show).

His butt is not big necessarily but I've seen a few reviewers point out that because of the way the butt is sculpted his legs don't go back all the way. So as a result he ends up with a stance that makes him look as if he's poking his butt out when stood up straight. Hence big booty Blade.

Blade did have a rather interesting haircut in the film's however it wasn't this bad. Wesley Snipes was never bald with hair arrows left on his head. What ever artist designed this look thought it was going to look cool.

Well, I haven't seen this figure in-hand yet but I totally intend to pick it up ASAP. So, I guess we'll see!

Point made, but for a dude who walks around looking like he does in the picture below it's not much of a stretch to imagine him just going, "Ah, fuck it" the next time he's at the barber and shaving zig-zag arrows into his head.

You're not wrong. The first Blade remains the best by far. I appreciate Del Toro's take on 2, but it was too over-the-top and comic-booky for my tastes (in addition to be riddled with lots of stupid plot holes). 3 was absolute dogshit, however.

That's why threw me off in this review, no mention of the leg issue. My figure can't stand up straight because of this. And now looking at the side shot in the gallery, the figure is standing up normally and definitely has the legs going farther back than is possible with my figure. I wonder if there is some sort of fix?

My problem with Blade II is that there was no plot. It was just mindless action and nothing more. Ron Perlman is really the only thing that saves that movie for me.

It looks like a direct upscale of the 3.75 Bulleye, except it has fancier accessories. This is a good thing, because the 3.75 one was really rad.

I've been saying the same thing. This "photo real" technology is a game changer for Hasbro and their MCU Marvel Legends. I collect them exclusively, so the change is welcomed. I've seen others here and on the Fwoosh forums talk about how "it takes away from the comic book look", but I've only seen this technology used on MCU Marvel Legends, hence the name "photo real".

Shit, you're right...I didn't realize it, but Bullseye does indeed have "normal" eye paint (as opposed to "digital"). Interesting.
