So does this mean Marvel's merchandise ban for Marvel Zombies is lifted?

At NYCC in 2008 during the Diamond Select panel they said there would be no more Marvel Zombies merchandise (toys, shirts, etc.). There hasn't been anything new seen since.

Marvel has put a moritorium on any further Marvel Zombie merchandise of any kind. Marvel was concerned about the negative image seeing their major characters would have on the public so they pulled the plug on any further Zombie products.

That's interesting, didn't think they would do such a thing, this must have been more a Disney thing? But weren't they still Marvel at the time, so that means no more of the Zombie comics they put out either, kind of confusing cause I know they used to push those out...

Disney didn't acquire Marvel until 2009-2010. There hasn't been any Zombies merchandise out since then either.

I was going to say the same thing, Mike. I'm pretty surprised to see this ban lifted, although the only "zombie" release I HAVE seen was the Headpool minimate. So maybe minimates are exempt somehow?

EDIT:

Also, I consider it a milestone to FINALLY be getting Helmut Zemo in minimate form. As a character high on my favorite supervillains list, it felt wrong that for so long he hadn't been made. I can't wait, and I will be getting the variant of his dad too.

The comics they kept doing but there was zero merch. No shirts, toys, etc.

I guess they figure the average person might not read/find the comics but a kid could see a shirt or a toy? Who knows.
