Man, I'm so happy with what they've already shown that I don't think I need to see any more. I almost like what they've shown here more than what we saw at SDCC '10.

I hope they reach more into the comic lore in later waves, and use armored cap like the minimates did, and some other compatriots like falcon, Sharon carter, or Agent Moralez, or even bad guys like crossbones, the red skull, red skull's daughter, and so on. I hope they don't go overboard with cap alone like Ironman. And instead learn from the mistakes a bit. I do love the universal back connector points though.

Thor's line has me a lil worried.
So far just those 3. Odin, Thor, and Loki with transformable weapons.
I'm hoping for some more movie asguardians as well as the destroyah armor, but I'd also like some comic waves like beta ray bill, Rogue thor, thor corps and whatever else they can dredge like the rock aliens.
From what I understand about Hasbro's marketing scheme for Marvel in the upcoming year is that they are creating 3 new lines for us. Iron Man Armored Avenger, Captain America First Avenger and Thor I forget the tag line.

Anyway, these three lines will include movie figures but are also designed I believe to transcend the movie and be available for a while before and after.

I could be very wrong about this, but that is what I understand from the SDCC press conference.

Anyway, I share your concerns about the Thor line. It does look gimicky but I have faith that the line will prove to be awesome yet. At least we know we are getting a pretty good version of the Destroyer

I noticed in the new batch of pictures that the Captain America figure was labeled "Comic Series" but the Thor figure wasn't labeled "Movie Series."

Does this mean Thor isn't getting the full movie treatment? Or worse, does that mean Hasbro is betting against the Thor movie being a hit? I never once worried that the Thor movie would suck until right this moment now.

I'm wondering if it's store space though too, I mean they are competing with their own lines.

Wow, lots of stuff looking great. Great to see the Cap figures using MU articulation. Down with awful ball joints.

Sadly the Thor line uses them and they don't seem to be splitting it into movie and comic series. Hm...

Edit: Actually, looking at the back of the cardboard, they don't even have a description for the figure or a space to show other figures in the line like the back of the Cap figures. I think the packaging just isn't finished yet.

The Winter Soldier figure has ball joint legs, but the Cap figs rock- Hoping for Serpent Squad, Madame Viper (who's in the new game), Arnim Zola, Crossbones, Sharon Carter, well, just about everybody! And yay, Cable- I wish they went with a different version, but okay. Still hoping for a Nate Grey!!!!!

Anyone see the 2 different classic Colossus paint themes? I like the plain yellow the best but that golden one is cool too.
Lots of good stuff shown! I hope there is more today!

It's from the "X Men Messiah" storyline from recent years I think.

Eh, DAMN, I see that Hasbro is putting out the deluxe figures(with the parachute and jetpack) that lack the full articulation of regular figures! Damn man, I was into that parachute Cap until I noticed that!

Definitely going to get Winter Soldier, WWII Cap, regular Cap, and HELL YEAH New Cap for sure. I am so glad New Cap is in the line. Are those bicep swivels or elbrows? I couldn't tell.

Thing is, with the MU hip style, these figures fit right in with Marvel Universe, and New Cap/Winter Soldier are far better than their Marvel Universe counterparts. The Captain America comic series format is a step in the right direction for Hasbro; making figures that articulation-wise, fit right in with Marvel Universe. I mean sure I incorporate some of my XMO and Iron Man figures with Marvel Universe, but the Captain America 2011 figures fit in more seamlessly.

Note to Hasbro, please do this with any other Marvel movie line you do from here on out.

We didn't attend the show for full coverage this year. We did pop in today and what we have is on (or going up) the front page now.

We didn't attack this like we do most events, sorry about that. Bad timing for the staff that was able to attend, we could only go up today.

His costume looks like the 2007 New Excalibur series, but what is that sword Captain Britain is carrying? It doesn't look like Excalibur, the Ebon Blade, the Sword of Might, or the Soul Sword. Any ideas?

What size are the Captain America Figures? I guess 3/3.4, If I'm wrong let me know. I might pick up that Ultimate Cap with the split shield.

That archangel is sweet! Can't wait to get my hands on that. LOVE the cap line too.

We got fighting american's shield with US agent, a better shield/back pin setup, and that captain britain is just all shades of win with excalibur.

I'm worried about the Thor line. Thor toys launch in March (probably the 1st like IM2), and we've only seen these 3 movie figures. No comic figures shown. No confirmation of a separate comic-series even existing.

Cap toys won't be out until May, yet we're getting confirmation of a separate comic series and being shown the first wave.

Hmmm....I hope Thor isn't getting shafted by Hasbro. I know there will be product, but I think Thor's characters are more numerous and would work better as toys than Cap's. And I love both characters equally.

I just hope they do a modern steve rogers figure now. It looks like they got everything else I could want covered. Like the movie figure too. Though I wonder how different his avengers costume will look.

I can't wait to have my hands on the first avengers movie team finally with thor, cap, widow, hulk, and ironman.
