Hey miketime, or anybody else who hat a digital subscription, how do you feel about reading comics on a monitor. I read a Secret Invasion intro comic online but I didn't really like having to read it on my monitor. My monitor is big enough, I guess I'm just used to holding the pages in hand. What do you all think about this?

Some of the comics were big enough where I could read them no problem, but others had to be constantly adjusted so I could read them. Over all I did not mind not having the source material in hand. As long as I get a Fury and I cancel the script before they charge me again I will be happy.

I prefer reading comics the old fashioned way...in hand. I too will cancel, only did it for Nick Fury. It just doesnt seem right reading comics on a screen.

I just checked my bank account and the check for Fury was cashed. Now I have to wait until they ship him out. Anyone know if the are waiting for a certain date or after the check is cashed, they ship out?

my check was cashed this morning, too. i'm tempted to print out a copy in case this turns into a fiasco a la the gi joe doc mail-in.

i don't imagine we'll see the figures for a few more weeks, though. mail-in figures take for-ev-er.

So it took them a little over one month to cash the check? And another 6-8 weeks before the Fury figure arrives. So the whole process is roughly 3 months long, huh?

I need to order mine already.

My check was cashed on 7/10. I sent it on 6/15 not so bad. Yeah about 3 months sounds right. Just in time for me to cancel my online comic subscription. It took almost a year for me to get my DOC.

Sent off for my Nick Fury figure yesterday.

So far I have been quite upset with the selection of comics available on the Marvel Digital site. I really wish they had more up-to-date comics as well as some more of the obscure comics.

I think the figure will be worth it though.

Didn't he used to have a small cigar? I don't see it in the new pictures at all...

Got my Fury yesterday. Only thing is they didn't include the cigar and now he looks like Sly Stalone. Other than that this is a nice figure.

Anybody have a clue?

I might subscribe. I was thinking of doing it a few months ago. And now with Fury as incentive I might. If I didn't want to start to really get into Marvel again, I won't subscribe just for the figure.

I want to start off by saying that I really like the MU line for the most part but I have a few complaints. The first is scale, why is it that black costume Spiderman is so much taller than all the other standard sized figures? He towers Dare devil who should be taller than Spiderman. This scale problem can be seen all through out the MU line. Second the lack of accessories and alternate body parts. These figures are way overpriced considering how small and overused the sculpts are. Why cant they include unmasked heads or other accessories to help these figures pop? Plus why do they have 3 of the same Spiderman figures out already? Now with the two and three packs you have to by 3 overpriced figures to get the one you don't already have. When I buy the Magneto and Spiderman 2 pack just for Magneto because I already have that Spiderman I have to spend more than twice as much... Thanks Hasbro and Marvel!!! Remember what you got with ML, basses to pose your figure on well articulated sculpts accessories a comic book and a piece of a build a figure set. think of all that and now for just a couple of dollars less we get the same sculpts over and over with nothing else. They are ripping us of and they just keep pushing it further. They also supplement the line with old GI Joe accessories. Hasbro basically came up with a plan to lower cost by up to 3/4 and screw us in the process. I love the idea of a Marvel 3 3/4 line but they have taken our longtime wish and used it to line there pockets. Less plastic, less paint, less sculpts, less time in development, less cardboard, less shipping, and you can fit a lot more on the sales pegs.

With all that said I just want to make it clear that the line is a great idea WE just have to keep them honest by not just taking it. We are the fans we are the ones keeping these guys in bussines lets tell them we expect more for our time, money, and devotion. Better quality, less repeats, and more love for us their customers.

And what's up with having to get a subscription just to get the Nick Fury figure? BULL!!!!

I agree. Heck, the DC Universe Infinite Heroes figures are only $5.00.

I think the Nick Fury was a bit of a rip. But I think I will change my mind when he arrives in the mail.

I hope I get it in under a month. ANY BODY GET THEIRS YET?
