hmm looks like:

Magneto
Iceman
Astonishing Wolverine
Absorbing Man
Tony Stark Iron Man

then:

Modern Storm
White Iron Fist
Patriot
Thor AoT
Psylocke
Shadowland Daredevil

and then hopefully by christmas but prolly next year is:

Hulk
Beast
Beta Ray Bill
Ultimate Spiderman
Kraven

and i think bobby drake is listed as 5'8 so a short iceman is a-ok with me too.

and man, i wish that wave was the one after the rogers/x-23 wave. i need the beast and beta ray bill from it.
In due time. All of these figures have seemed to hit retail at the Target, Walmart, and TRU locations in many areas.... if not, just find an Arker who can find them for you. Or better yet, wait and see if you find it in person, right there on the peg, that is the best result of all.

Wow, I've got two cheap waves before the good stuff!
I might even skip Astonishing Wolvie if he's too tall...
My selections are in bold- repaints can generally bite me...and man! we dont have dick for villians coming out!
We get Kang next year and that's awesome, but Ultimate magneto is only getting bought if there's a 616 variant in classic colors, then it's two repaints ad Kraven who I'll totally drill a hole in his head and make "Zombie Kraven" for giggles..

i'd made a spreadsheet for all the upcoming figures after sdcc and marked all the ones i wanted and how many. next wave i'd only grab the astonishing wolvy which is a normal colored version of the wolvy in the x-force 3 pack. he's a good toy and plenty short but would require some modding to get him up to par with the other figures (swivel hinge neck, rocker style ankles, possibly swivel lower leg). then just storm and psylocke for their accessories like blue electricity and purple psychic flame and psychic katana.

also when that new daredevil/bullseye pack comes out, i'm buying 2 so one DD body can be turned into a normal magneto. that semi cheaped out ult magneto just makes me sad.

Considering taht each wave gets one Variant fig, I'm guessing magneto's wave will be him in the classic colors.
then it'll likely be Patriot with the current (much better) mask or Pyloke in her purple ninja gear and after that I'm guessing (hoping!) for a classic Beast from his Avengers days.

possibly. but the variant for the magneto wave is already absorbing man since he'll have a normal and a stone/metal form. psylocke i expect to have an x-force costume variant. man how i wish we were also getting a 90's beast but has there been a variant that went beyond a paint swap?

i was excited when i heard news of the magneto wave thinking they'd updated the secret wars 2 pack one to a new head, new cape, and on the newer JL cyclops body. was also assuming they'd put iceman on the newer body with a semi transparent feel like the dr strange variant. boy was i wrong.

Off the top of my head, Wolverine from HAMMER series had a new (and better) face sculpt for his variant. Technically, a 90's-style Beast doesn't have to be a variant (same number/packaging), it could just be a separate release that is a remold, like Red Hulk, Human Torch or Ms. Marvel.
