True, but only two characters out of this wave are new...

just realized it right now but that Storm would be an excellent base for a polaris custom. don't know why I didn't pick up on that on the SDCC pics...fan overload I suppose

Was really waiting for Psylocke and Thor but... repainted heads of previous characters!!! come on!!! Would be less expensive customizing one.
As for Storm, well, I really wanted the 5 pack one but didn´t want the other figures, so, I will get this one.

the 2 new figures are what everybody is aiming to find first, then it's hmming and debating about what to get next, while some will just get them all from the beginning no questions asked, to each their all. I will say its up in the air for what we really get retail, I will be buying the real figures that matter to me rather then every variant of this character or that, if it's a good representation of the character the repaint is better then the original IMO, then I will gladly buy it, like the 2pack DD and Bullseye.

I'm kind of pissed they messed up the Giant Size X-Men Storm only to re-release a better version of the same exact figure. Strapping the arms to the cape is one of the biggest screw-ups I've seen in a long time.
They are not releasing the same exact figure. That is Storm's classic costume.
http://marvel.wikia.com/Ororo_Munroe...stume_Overview

The new one is Storm's modern costume.
I'm not arguing that the plastic cape sucked.
They should have used cloth for the Giant Sized version and not plastic.
It would have been great if someone at Hasbro expedited the Scarlet Witch feet to put on the new Storm.

Iron Fist - pass, is this any different than whats already out?
Daredevil - nicer sculpt from pics but dont like the colors, he's being made red as well right?
Thor - Pass, will keep my SDCC Thor, I like the head much better on the SDCC version
Captain America guy - I guess ill decide when I see this, not too crazy on the look of him
Storm - Pass, why another Storm? Any difference between this and either 5 pack Storm?
Psylocke looks good... still wish she was using new female body.

Iron Fist... I sort of like. The white outfit is nice.

DareDevil... I belive that this one in the pic is a prototype as everything on this one screams recolor of the new one in the comic pack and that one uses the Cyclop body (thigh swivel)

Ages of Thunder Thor?... Really? Why get SDCC exculives if they plan to release them in retail! I will pick it up but not to be Thor.
Patriot (Capt Guy) is really nice. I like the homage to the original costume and i hope they decide to redo him in his current outfit as well.
Storm! Love this one. The repaint is not bad, plus much cheaper than buying the 5 pack just for her. Add to that the lightning effects.

Psylocke is a must have for me, but that's probably it from this wave. I'd be all over that Storm too if I didn't have the 35th Set with her in it already. I think it's a good thing that they're releasing her as a single (slightly different paint) so peeps who didn't buy the five pack can get her. That Thor is decent looking, but I'll probably pass and see what The Avengers line has to offer.

I really dig the Thor coming out. I feel those who bought the SDCC exclusive. You would think that exclusive should mean exclusive. But I always love a second chance. I bought the Spider-Man and Captain America exclusive but not the Thor. And I like that he's without the helmet. Not putting down the helmet but i like him better without.

Still needing a Taskmaster and Deadpool and as always I'm still looking for some Strange.

I'm digging this wave. I slept on getting iron fist earlier so with this one and the comic pack coming out, I'm set. Re-releasing age of thunder thor is a plus now that the sdcc one can stay packaged. More female figures is a plus. I think I'll pass on the daredevil and repaint the comic pack one coming out. That mold is way better. Again though, no real villains with this wave.

... didn't the figures they showed off at SDCC have added articulation... like thigh/bicept swivels? What the hell happened?

http://www.toyark.com/news/san-diego...y-photos-4523/

I knew I wasn't crazy.

It's a proto type my good sir. It was more or less to show the new mold/head sculpt. The final version will be even better for sure.

And even if it wasn't I'd still buy it bc it is the first Punisher figure to actually kick @ss at the 3.75 scale ever

i'd say Hasbro choked on this fig - they likely have their top guns hand painting with meticulous care, afterall, their reputation and level of quality are being showcased at these events!
