Just snagged a couple of camo Batman Tumblers today. Lol, I think everyone else here already has those, so I'll spare you the pics. However, if you really want to see them, check my latest post in the "Look What I Just Got Thread".

Finally scored a Colonial Viper! All I need now to complete the '13 run is that damn Kenworth from Smokey & the Bandit! I refuse to pay ebay prices, though. So the hunt continues.

I always scratch my head when i see those 1-off cars. But all the same, if you're a fan of the series, then I guess it makes perfect sense. Although I'm a little confused about the Zoolander jeep. They should have at least maybe made some small models riding in there. Haha. It didn't really even play a major part in the movie at all.

Mattel is getting to be just as bad with the Retro Entertainment line. I keep spotting the Simon & Simon IROC and Power Wagon, as well as the Hart To Hart Ferrari, from the newer waves. Oddly enough, the Magnum PI vehicles (from a few waves ago) sold nearly immediately. Also, those Brady Bunch station wagon is still hanging around. I can understand why someone would want the vehicles from a show like the A-Team, and maybe Miami Vice, but when it comes to cars from some of those other older TV shows, I don't understand the appeal. But, to each his own, I guess, lol! There are probably plenty of collectors out there who can't fathom why I'd want the Supernatural Impala, The USS Enterprise, the ships from Battlestar, or so many Batmobiles ![]() Last edited by Frank Richards; 04-16-2014 at 11:14 PM.. |

Ha! So true! Greenlight has made some bizarre choices as to the licenses they have made vehicles for. Lol, I honestly don't know any die-cast collectors who really want a Bewitched car in their collection.

How's come some of these companies will produce something that pretty much nobody will even pay attention to, while there's so many other things they could make that people are dying to see! When that question is asked, companies always go on that whole "It isn't cost efficient". But yet they produce a Brady Bunch wagon......because my life wouldn't be complete without that??? |

I liked the show and all, but yeah. But I guess if you're going to do 70's and 80's TV show cars, you gotta cover all the big hits.

My only beef with the Retro Entertainment line is the non retro shit they're starting to put out. Fast Five & Need for Speed? I'm sorry, that's not retro. I hope the line doesn't go in that direction. I'd rather have more from obscure shows and movies than popular modern stuff.

Late response here but I was at the TRU where I used to work so I was talking with one of my old co workers which distracted me. I had a cart on the backside of the end cap that was not fully in view and someone snuck them out of my cart. I have a lot of scalpers for hot wheels in my area because I live in a smaller community but I'm lucky that I still have good friends who give me a heads up at my old job when items like these pop up.

Still not happy with the fact that these are not retro at all. But I cannot have an incomplete collection.

I'd be showing my age here but it was an 80's TV show I can recall seeing a fair bit.
Hart to Hart - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Robert Wagner is perhaps more well known to younger people as "Number 2" in Austin Powers.

^Good show, nonetheless.
In other news, I picked up another dented-package Retro car: the Jetsons. If that's the only way I can get some of these now, then I'm all for it (being a loose collector is awesome, that way). Btw, the Retro one is far and away better than the regular release: flight stand, no silly "invisible" wheels, and painted rings on the propulsion jets. Ditto. The arcade game Need for Speed is retro, but definitely not the new movie. Old School is technically retro since it came out over 10 years ago, but it still seems too young compared to most of the other IPs in this line. Me, either. Colour me jealous, DHeezy81.
