Only hunting down Batman ones really. Though I stumbled across The A-Team van and just had to get it. First time I've seen one out in the wild too. Which is odd because I've found many of the other 2011 cars but never the A-Team.
|
^ Me too. I've checked for the ECTO1 too along with the Ateam van and nothing so far. I did find the Arkham Asylum batmobile though, one more off the list:)

We did a review on Hot Wheels and Chuggington. These cars are so much fun.

Just picked up the 3rd version of the Max Steel bike. I'll see if I can snap a pic and update this post with it.

I just now discovered this awesome thread!
I just picked up these Cylon Raiders on Friday. If anyone has already seen them in my post on the "Look what I just got" thread, I apologize, but here they are at least out of the package and displayed so that their details can be appreciated a little better. http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/z...pspbqdjmeb.jpg http://i825.photobucket.com/albums/z...pshjrcv53q.jpg I'm only a casual Hot Wheels collector, and I tend to stick to vehicles from the Retro Entertainment and Nostalgia series, like these Cylons. |
@Frank Richards these are some releases you may be interested in. Some have been in stores, others are upcoming.
Hot Wheels is commemorating the 75th anniversary of Batman by re-releasing several popular models including: The 1966 Batmobile (6th Mainline Release) The Animated Series Batman Batmobile (Blue Variant) The Desert Camouflage Tumbler (new to the mainline of Hot Wheels) The Batpod (Also new to the mainline.) The Batmobile from the Action Figure Series (2nd release). Other releases to keep an eye out for: The Homer (Homer Simpons's Custom Car) The Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo The Flintstones Flintmobile The Jetsons Capsule Car U.S.S. Vengeance from Star Trek More are being announced and discovered so hopefully these are easier to find and don't end up scalped! |
I am ridiculously excited about The Homer, lol! I've read rumors that a Retro Entertainment version will be released too (although I will probably never find one in my area).
I'm also somewhat excited about the USS Vengeance. Well, as excited as anyone really can be about the USS Vengeance, LOL ! Overall, I haven't really liked how Mattel has handled their Star Trek line, as well as the Enterprise in the primary HW line. Back in '09, I bought a few of those Mattel Star Trek ships, and while some were good, some (like the old and new Enterprises) were terrible. And to make matters worse, the plastic stands have a tendency to snap and break very easily. Also, before I found my HW Enterprise, a friend of mine bought two, and he claims that immediately after opening them, the paint and lettering rubbed off. I learned from his mistake and kept mine in the packaging (which I typically NEVER do). After being so disillusioned by Mattel's treatment of the franchise, I chose not to buy the Into Darkness Blu-Ray set that came with the Vengeance. Despite my bad experiences, I think I'll still snag a Vengeance once it's released. Whew... sorry for my verbosity, I just really like Star Trek, and I've just been irritated/disappointed for so long that Mattel dropped the ball on their Star Trek ships. |
The mainline USS Enterprise was what started my recent collecting of Hot Wheels. I thought it was pretty cool although I am not a big Star Trek fan. I only have the battle damaged one, I am still kicking myself over not buying the variant version without the damage which I had in my hand. I haven't found any pictures of the USS Vengeance yet so I am assuming a mid year release.
The Homer is still a bit pricy on eBay but I imagine it will come down soon. It's pretty sweet though and I am on the hunt for one...or three! |
I'm not really big on Hot Wheels but I can't resist the Retro Entertainment line.
