I don't like the way Mattel does cloth capes. So flimsy and rectangular. When you look at NECA's capes for their 7' Superman and Batman figures, or Hasbro's Black Series Darth Vader's figures, the cheapness of it is inexcusable. And the cloth cape doesn't mesh with that plastic cape top at all. Might as well make the whole thing cloth.

I just got Mera on Tuesday. The bland facial expression is the only issue I have with the figure. Sculpting is decent, articulation is fine. Extra hands with water are good. I might get Aquapac but it will have to be from Amazon. None of the stores around Manassas and Gainesville have the JL Multiverse figures.

I picked up Mera, Batman and Cyborg with mother boxes, and the Flash Target 2-pack this week. Anyone know anything about shirtless Aquaman or Parademon?

Haven't heard anything of them yet- Mattel goes crazy with variant exclusives and wave repacks... tough to keep up.

MAFEX went all cloth on the cape and it's terrible.... fine for a hovering pose that hides it I guess (which is how I have him displayed) but the mattel cloth back and plastic around the neck actually looks a lot better... The cape itself could be better (same with Batman) but they don't bother me much... His head is the weakest part though- I swapped it with the alt angry Superman MAFEX head and it looks a lot better...

Sorry, but Hasbro's sculpters blow away Mattel's sculpters by a country mile. 6' Multiverse figures look cheap and lack many POA & making a BAF just a complete plain grey color, unsat! The 4H sculpted DCU Line is still the standard to uphold.

LoL.Yeah, we all have opinions on figures. I tend to find the sculpting on Mattel figures better.Hasbro does better faces, nodoubt, and has much better articulation, but the bodies are a lot of generic bucks with pop on accessories where Mattel is sculpted detail. I would love to see Mattel incorporate the articulation that Hasbro uses (I think a lot of people call out sculpting on Mattel when it is actually the articulation that falls short- not that you are, but I see that a lot in FB groups)- but it's not a deal breaker for me because I'm such a fan of the characters anyways. Matter of fact, I am enjoying the Mattel JL figures way more than my Hasbro MCU collection at the moment. But like I said- we all have our opinions.

Mattel comes off to me as kind of unenthusiastic about the DC license, especially for adult collector figures. I don't see why they can't just divide the license up so that Mattel takes care of the kid toys and someone else like NECA gets to do all the more expensive, detailed figures they want without any stupid restrictions.

i went to my LCS yesterday and as i was paying for a figure. i noticed another figure that was loose next to the cashier. it was a Aquaman figure with the modern movie look. but this one was awesome. i did alittle research and i think it was the 'Batman vs. superman Aquaman' 6" figure. he has pants with gold boots and he is shirtless with the tattoos and the shoulder pad on 1 side only.....Does anyone have that figure? Does that figure have 2 brand versions?

Movie Mera may be the best non-BAF figure Mattel made in 2017.

It's supposed to be a very makeshift costume, that's the point of the design. He (at that point) was just a regular teen who, along with others, were inspired by the Batfamily, and decided to take on the Robin identity and be vigilantes.

Doesn't matter anyway since he's The Signal now and sporting a new suit. I'm sure a figure of that will be revealed any time now if it hasn't already.

Are They going to keep it going or is this a limited release?
Can you imagine getting a Jack Nicholson joker with the improvements we have today in figures?
It has great potential.

No way!
Like it or not it is still our first Joker...well movie wise.
I am afraid that it would be butchered though. I agree that the Kilmer head is bad. The same would probably be true for any other figures. After the NECA Barman figures nothing could be acceptable.

Cesar Romero was Joker in the '66 Batman movies
