Guys, enough with the bickering and sniping. Really, everyone is entitled to feel how they do about something as benign as a toy line.

The Laser figures will light up! That is awesome news.

Snake Mountain's size may be reduced, but not sure how that will happen seeing as they already made what seems to be an early prototype. Unless they laser scan it.

The goal is to make SM around $300, I'm sure it will be a bit more though.

If they just take the Warcraft figures base body and do what they did to Halo it'll work out fine. BUT that Castle Greyskull has like 5000 pieces in it. The largest MB sets have previous only been like 3500 and they were nearly $300. If it happens they'll be some large custom pieces.

Figured that'd probably be the case with at least the He-Man, given the big ol' backpack and whatnot. Cool news nevertheless.

The problem with size reduction is that to my mind it could make the interior difficult to work with where figures and accessories are concerned, unless they only truncated the left side (as you face it) "tower/mountain" somehow, but that'd probably look weird.

But I'd imagine if it comes down to "reduce size or don't make it at all" I'd hope most would prefer "reduce size" though I've no doubt plenty of complaints would spring from it. It DOES look awesome at its' huge full/original size but it'd be pushing three-plus feet tall, and closer to $500 than $300, I think.

Well, Mattel took some serious slaps in the face in the past years (loss of $$, loss of their #1 rank as toy manufacturer,...), but it seems it was a real wake up call for them, cause this year's SDCC was nothing less than epic.
Fans choice line (see, Mattel can listen to the fans sometimes..), new v.2 line, point dread/talon fighter set, the more than impressive snake mountain, THETHUNDERCATS LINE!!!, the DC multiverse w/ the return of the c&c figure, mega-bloks castle grayskull,... All of this is awesome. Two thumbs up to you, Mattel!!
Now if you could get rid of digital river, I'll be back to sub full force...

The way I see it, Snake Mountain will be the same size as Castle Grayskul. It will essentially be a clamshell design, with an additional snap-on mountain peak piece, making it taller. I assume their goal is to have it fit in the same size box as Castle Grayskull.

Also, $500??? I think Mattel would be pushing their luck with that price. They need to price it so it sells, not so it scares people away.

Definitely a clamshell, I think that's pretty clear already.

I don't disagree on the price, but between the bluetooth electronic speakers for the "voice changer" effect, the accessories (Bone Throne and "conference table" at the very least), and sheer size, I'd have a really hard time seeing it at less than $450. But if they get it down to $300 (apparently their stated goal though they don't know if they'll be able to meet it), I'll buy it and figure out where the heck I'm going to put it later.

Whats pathetic is, every .org board HAS to have the one guy that has to be negative all the time or against what the popularity of something is and when gets called out on it tries to outclass everyone with big words and stories and then its the other persons fault. EVERY board has that guy, worst is Movie Maniacs (im sure you all know who im talking about)

Given the evasive answers from the walkthrough, it's looking like Anti He-man will be a chase figure online, like Spirit of Hordak.

To each their own. There's always going to be a handful that are fault finders with everything, I know because I'm one of them. Nothing wrong with it, especially when there are flaws to be found.

What's pathetic are the people who are bothered by the negative posts and directly or indirectly attack the people who posted them. I will never understand why people get so aggravated by people who are negative, and literally go out of their way to try and shut them down. As if it's some mandate from god to attack people who criticize the toys and the company that makes them. Regardless of them being the proverbial broken record, they have the same right as anyone else to post their opinions.

Funny how It's always the people complaining about the product who get attacked, but you never see the negative people attack the ones who are overly positive of the things being complained about. It's one thing to brainwash ones self to not see the flaws in the products they buy, but it is wrong to try and shut people down for trying to expose the flaws publicly simply because they disagree or are in denial.

9 times out of 10, the people who complain about negative posts never have anything to back up why they disagree with what is said. It's almost always a complaint about someone elses negativity.
