I'm really curious if anyone under the age of 40 gives any EFFS about Crystar. I had him as a kid, and have always wanted a fresh minty one but never ran across one at a reasonable price complete. So this is awesome for me. But that all stems back to early 80s nostalgia, there has been nothing since then for anyone to latch on to.

Hopefully he doesn't end up at Ollies for 5 bucks. I want some more. And a Deluxe version with bells and whistles.

I'm not under 40 and I couldn't care less about Crystar. Power Princess looks like the best Wonder Woman figure out there. Namor looks like Jason Momoa without a shirt. Namorita should be a darker blue IMO.

Preordered Crystar x2. Now we need Rom and Micronauts and we'll have a nice little unofficial late 70s/early 80s ML sub-line going.

Haha see. Doesn't bode well for anyone under 40 giving EFFS.

And agreed, I really wish I could paint, because that would be the definitive WW with the right outfit.

AGREED! I hedged the hell out of that figure. Ordered from 3 different spots. They need to do a "Obscure Marvel Properties" wave.

Also don't care about Marvel Boy/Justice either, even after his costume revamp in the 90s. His only form that held some interest for me was the Vance Astro Cap. But these are all just my opinions.

I guess I'm in the minority here about not caring about the crystar figure since I never collected the vintage line and knew nothing of the character before his recent reveal in the Marvel Legends line and all the hype surrounding it.

What color is Namorita? A simple Google shows Namorita in flesh, blue, green, and every shades of teal in between.

I only mentioned my preference, which is a darker blue. The most memorable version of her for me is when she and and the New Warriors started the events of the Civil War. If the more recent versions are sky blue and that's what they want to go with, then so be it.

That was actually not a reference to your post, but just a general question, because I googled it and am confused with all the different color Namoritas.

Not a ML collector, but PO'd Crystar immediately... Though I am over 40.

Would also be in for a Micronauts line, either full Marvel or mixed with the old Takara toys.

It's a cool wave. Though I wish that Jae Lee Namor were pinless. I've always liked that look.

She used to not be blue and then later she became blue because of Atlantean genetic mumbo-jumbo.

Same (ordered two) but scratch those others and continue to Crystar line. Then Rom. Micronaughts IMO have been done and to death.

Why is Crystar in this wave to begin with? Did Marvel make a tie-in comic for the toy line back in the day or something?

Yes in the 80's. I saw the figure and thought Marvel must have revived the title since its Marvel Legends.

So I read up recently. Apparently Crystar and that universe's characters have been popping up in various books over the last 8 years or so. 2015 Secret Wars arcs, Weird World stuff, part of Battleworld, one arc had Squadron Supreme involved. So I'm guessing that's where the thought came from initially.

I'm not familiar with the comics beyond what Wikipedia just told me tho.

Looks like Weird World is a mash up of fantasy and rando timelines, all the Crystar characters were there, Crystar got jacked up and turned into a bag of crystal rocks, and at some point came back but with one arm. So there's the variant maybe

Still very deep cut, but at least there's a slight connection to something past the 1982 stuff.

Also something I didn't know - Danzig's skull logo was ripped off from a cover of Crystar. Marvel just never did anything about it.
