I like the Johnny Storm bike, it makes complete sense!

Having a golden vibrator makes no sense.

I recall seeing all those awful Spidey variants (large action figs with doll clothes) at Kay Bee stores on insane clearance when they all folded.
Nothing could make me buy those- not unless I wanted target practice (whih, in retrospect, might have been hilarious).

Cool list, there's more on the bottom of the second page with toy related lists.
Where's my all time favorite, ninja spiderman?

You should make a thread on what's the single lamest gimmick or variant out there-
My choice is that X-Men with bodies from the cancelled Iron Man cartoon wave. There's a Beast head on this giant vac-metalized armor...
It's beyone awful. It's offal.

I have that superman coupe but in red (maybe it's the European variant) it was actually one of my favourite toys as a kid, although I never converted it to a space jet whilst playing, even as an 8 year old I wondered why superman would need a flying car.

I have to say that the people who rag on and hate on the Action Hero Spiderman line either don't get the joke, don't remember/know what the world was like when it came out, or just plain have no sense of humor.

The line was intended to be silly. The line *was* a tongue in cheek joke. It was spoofing simular lines, like GI Joe, and Action Man (More specifically Action Man).
It was also at the height of Toy Fare's popularity. Back when TTT was still called Twisted Mego Theater, and they could still use DC Megos. Spiderman was their star, and they were always dressing the Spidey-Mego up in cornball outfits. Marvel AND Toybiz both always had a much better sense of humor about it than Warner Bros did (Who eventually court-ordered them to stop using DC characters, I believe).

The fact that so few people get that the Action Hero Spiderman line *was* a joke boggles my mind.

ROFL! Man this is hilarious!

Why didn't they include the stoplight that came with Animated Prowl?
