So that was like a really bad stinging burn for me personally. I collected the entire line, I had every single toy released. Every single variant. Then making my favorite characters into those statues was the same as kicking me in the balls as hard as you can. I don't like statues, I like action figures. Big difference. Also, Clawful's mace snapped in half the second I tried to put it in his hand/claw.

And then there was that whole fiasco with Classics & Mattycollector. Mail order only, the shipping was stupid overpriced & people had nothing but trouble ordering. I didn't even waste my time with Classics. They charged like $20 for shipping. I couldn't afford to collect that line.
Its weird, I think back with some wicked joy at those early 'Matty' days. I snuck home from work (the website was blocked at the time) to get my orders in the minute they went up. So glad when they went to the sub model.

Adam will become He-Man once again; Teela will be elevated into her true destiny. They can finally stand alongside each other as equals, no more secrets.
I was saying the same thing on other forums. I think this whole series is about grooming Teela to become the new guardian of Castle Grayskull. That seems to be core to a lot of, if not all of the continuities. Given all nods, Easter Eggs from all of the collected media that is in this show. To ignore that fact for something else seems outright spiteful. The writer's are doing something slightly different because they do not have the rights to the Filmation show (still held by Universal) despite the claim its a continuation of the Filmation show.

In this one, I am wondering if Duncan is the biological father. He seemed a little close to the Sorceress given some of the looks he gave her.

I thought it was pretty good actually. Liked the callback to the '87 movie. Wish Skeletor at the end gave some kind of cool speech like Langella Skeletor did when he became a god lol.

At least the” now….I AM A GOD! KNEEEEEELLLL BEFORe YOUR GOD!”

Then orko translucently appears behind him and zaps him in the ass and he turns around angrily as orko disappears giving him the bird.

I removed the back and forth arguing from this thread.

1. Please keep socio/political/religious and similar "pick a side" talk off the forums, even if it is thought to be mixed in with the media we are buying toys for. Argue about that shit on social if you want, not here.

2. Aside from what about - please do not directly accuse, name call, argue with other members. If someone comes at you, report it. We'll catch it eventually. If someone repeatedly annoys you, add them to your ignore list so you don't see their posts.

Thanks.

Transformation and “true forms” are a massive theme in this iteration. Think back to the comment made about Adam in Preternia. He was the only hero that “chose his lesser form”. The other heroes chose their He-Forms because those in Preternia "choose their forms".

It would be single most radical change to an 80’s property in history. They race swapped Grayskull and Andra. Smith has already shown he’s “shaking stuff up.” This is a massive vanity project for him. Based on traded looks between Teela and Andra I think the showrunners are hinting Teela is gay. Why not go the extra mile and have assume her "true form"?

That's how the second half of the season concludes. You heard it here first.
Something like that might be happening, according to the rumor going around. Personally, I'm still thinking they're going to make it that Adam stays dead but somehow He-Man will comeback and that will be his only form. When does part 2 come out anyway?

The statues didn't ruin the show. The statues ruined the toy line which was ending or already over anyway. Like I said, I collected the entire line of ACTION FIGURES only to have my favorite characters turned into stupid statues. That seriously pissed me off & I walked away from the franchise. I wasn't about to start all over again from scratch with the Classics line. I wanted to finish the 2002 line & they screwed me good.

The action figure of Teela actually looks prettier than the cartoon model. How often does that happen?

That Teela figure doesn't look too bad, actually. Not a fan of the generic "strong barbarian woman" haircut but it kinda works here.

Yeah, "strong."

I actually never bought any He-Man figures. I promised myself the only time I would, will when they give me double joints. I think the sculpts look bad overall, but I pre-ordered what I could on Amazon and upon seeing the first couple episodes, cancelled my orders on Amazon.

After Cuties, I stuck by Netflix, maybe it was an unintentional mistake...not anymore I cancelled that too. You would be surprised as a person, what makes you finally snap. Sometimes it's a combination of things or one thing. Much like Hasrbo doing CRT, I am done with both.

Seeing those designs, no regrets, about cancelling anything and moving on with my life. All the money I am saving will simply go to Todd, or Hot Toys and my new fav. Threezero.

Wondering when will mattel actually spend money on good sculptors for this line...
While they are not incredibly terrible, I cannot understand why someone would praise them.

These look really good. I’m loving seeing all the MOTU stuff at stores now. I bought my little nephew Origins He-Man & Battlecat and the Filmation box set dvd.

Hopefully his generation will continue the support of the brand and it won’t wither and die because of old toy collecting farts that can’t be happy with what they have.

Spikor and man at arms look great. Beastman really needs that armor and teela….maybe if she came with an alternate long haired head. She looks okay but just not a fan of that design.

I mean, in the "classic" characters seems like instead of trying to aim for the new animation, they were kind of trying to reproduce the 2000 show and also failed.
New sculpts are, well... lacking.

Scrubbed another round of posts. There were some points there that got swept up which may not have warranted deletion on their own, but were part of the larger discussion about socio-political topics revolving around the show.

Regardless of their validity or lack there of, and their connection to the toys or not, let's keep that line of discussion off site.

My god I hate this forum.
I wrote a big story and it won't accept because it thinks there are links in or a spammy word.

What is a spammy word?
