Double knees are the gold standard now and have been for almost 20 years.
They look much better and are 10x better for posing.
All other knee joints are dog crap.

And yes, those terrible knees are enough to ruin the figure for me.

Neca even seems to know this themselves. Look at their new Defenders of the Earth figures. I'd say those are the best figures Neca has ever done

Good grief. I've got multiple issues with NECA products myself, but the amount of uninformed complaining...

Id guess that they went with that style of knee due to the added weight of the bulkier Buck and wings, along with that bipedal leg design. Which, over time, could potentially cause a double jointed knee to sag or warp.

I'm not a Neca connoisseur or anything. I've bought a handful of their 18 in figures and have been trying to keep up with their Animated Turtles and Back to the Future lines. But I've never had a big QC issue with them. Nothing I haven't seen from other toy lines. So I'm looking forward to these.

I'll take a figure falling apart and with piss poor movement (hell, I have Diamond Select Azula!) if it means I'll have a modern Demona figure to display.

And maybe we can FINALLY get Angela.

Firstly, nothing will top the movie TMNT figures, they're the best things they've ever done and probably will ever do.

Aside from that, this is a very typical NECA joint for most of their human figures. It doesn't break up the sculpt and still provides a good range of motion. I think the massive amount of articulation in the ankle and foot will more than make up for the knee joint.

I watched the first season when I was a kid, but never got into it. The fandom for the show has definitely been patient and persevering. This cartoon definitely deserves some nostalgic toys love.

You know as a marvel legends collector, I thought Hasbro had it for me this year when they revealed Xemnu, one of my all time Marvel legends dream figures. But at this point I've got to hand it NECA. So many freaking reveals this year of things I've always wanted, including that which I never thought I did. Case in point, Goliath here. I want him real bad. And I will try my best for the rest of the series. Except maybe Xanatos. I never liked him or his stupid ponytail. But ooh man, Demona...

Looking forward to see what NECA does with this and oh, I'd be all over a Bronx if they put one out.

For this Goliath, I would have liked either an alt head with light up eyes or a folded down wing-cape or both those features, you know for that it being "ultimate."
That would have tipped me.
I think the opposite. If you're going to have at least one Gargoyle, it's gotta be Goliath. This might not have been an easy license to secure, either, so I think it best to go with the big guy and then measure the demand based on him.

I am not a fan of NECA. I would have preferred Super7 to get this license to be honest.

I'm not a fan of the muscles or the joints.

I am a fan of Gargoyles and will be getting this and all the others they release in this line. Phowar, Gargoyle toys - about time!!

Not looking forward to all the eventual variants.

Oh god no. Super 7 super sucks!!

I'm very pleased to hear NECA has plans for more figures, though, I think it is best I do not get into this line no matter how much I want to. I just don't need to start another series I don't have the money or space for. Yeah, that's what I'm going ot tell myself right now.

NECA obvious reused the body from superman batman vs alien lines. Now you know why they didn't follow the original animated style beyond that the proprotion of Goliath's leg is way off.If NECA even consider to release a whole series by somehow keep reusing old body parts for each characters, then Elisa will be too short for Goliath because his leg is not supposed to be that long.

It's the same sculptor who did the DOTE and DC figures but it's 100% a new body.

Ha....as soon as I read your post I knew you getting these Dr.Kain. These will be hard to say no to.

Here are some pics I dug out of how I displayed my gargoyle toys. Left is when I was a kid and my parents let me fix up a basement room for my toy collection. Right is when my wife and I bought our house. I know have them separated. The damn ghostbusters collection grew so huge I made its own corner along with the firehouse. Same with power rangers. My castle is on the floor in a spot not becoming of its awesomeness. I will be looking for new real estate, thanks to neca.

I'm jealous at people who grew up with furnished basements that could be used for stuff like that. Our basement was just basically a hole in the ground for storage, pipping, and the washer/dryer.

Yeah, his proportions do look off to me as well.

He is too skinny and lanky, but I like that they didn't keep him animated style

Well it is all the more reason to re-buy him when they do an animated style.

I love that Goliath comes with a jalepeno pepper and the Grimorum.
