Interesting that the Monsterverse is branded on the box.
I dig it.

The only reason I didn’t jump into NECA Godzilla was because they weren’t making any other monsters other than Godzilla. So I stuck with monsterarts. Was very happy to see they were going to start making other monsters with the King of The Monsters movie line. I am disappointed they are not planning to make King Ghidorah as he is going to be the main nemesis monster to Godzilla. If neca decides to make it I will definitely buy it.

I think if interest in this line remains high and we continue to request it, NECA will have a change of heart. I’m still looking forward to the Godzilla KOTM line and will pick up whatever NECA puts out.

What's not coming through in these pictures is the translucent quality to Mothra's wings.
I've seen it in videos on the YouTubes.
Can't wait to see it in person.

Both sets of wings are hinged, front legs and back legs connect to the body with small ball joints. I’m actually shooting pics of Mothra and Godzilla now.

That looks more like Kamakiras with Mothra's wings more than it does Mothra to me.

Glad to hear there is articulation, though she seems to be really small.

I like it.
She seems like she's related to the MUTOs from the first movie.
I also like that she seems to be able to fight now -she has more at her disposal than just bumping into her opponent or sprinkling magic powder.

The eyes look much better in that picture than they do in some of the video reviews I've seen.

Thankfully, the eyes on mine were ok. I saw some of the videos and was worried before opening this.

The movie was...not that good, unfortunately. About on par with the 2014 movie, so take that as you will. There is much more monster-on-monster action this time around, and it happens much sooner in the movie than in the original, but for those of you who hated how much the stupid, annoying human characters intruded on the action non-stop...well, there's just as much of it this time around. The filmmakers took the biggest complaint fans had of the first movie and ignored it completely.

That, combined with fights that one occur at night and in the rain (Ghidorah actually generates storms around himself at all times, which is stupid) and a camera that constantly remains 3 feet from the monster's faces for each fight, makes for a disappointing movie.

But hey, at least NECA's toys are turning out great.

Rodan's packaging looks perfect, though I do wonder why NECA didn't use the respective posters for each monster until now.

Until recently their packaging was dictated by Bandai.

I liked the cast. There were some lines of dialog that were trying too hard but I didn't think any of them were stupid or annoying.

And I think that the BIGGEST complaint of the first movie was that there was not enough Godzilla. And that was remedied majestically in this movie.

What movie did you watch?
There are some close up shots but the monster fights were brilliant.
Did you not see the tail swipe? That whole sequence was pulled off fantastically with great composition and camera work.

I'm sorry but to say the camera is "constantly 3 feet" from the monsters is just false.

I have no counterpoint for this one.

I got my Godzilla and Mothra yesterday.
Mothra is really neat. She felt kind of tiny at first, but that wingspan really is crazy. And she displays well next to Godzilla.

The eyes on my Godzilla look great.
To be honest, I prefer the eyes on the MonsterArts figure -but only because I know it exists.
There's nothing wrong with the eyes on my figure.

I have seen some videos and pictures where Godzilla looks bug-eyed and surprised though.

Looks like a must have, especially since it won't have the eye problem the last one did.
