There are also two height charts for Sesame Street. One is the real life chart that has the heights of the puppets. The other is the illustrated height chart. NECA is following the illustrated height chart, similar to what Palisades did with The Muppets.

While a giant Big Bird would be nice, if they did actual scale Ernie would only be a head taller than Big Bird's knee. Using the animated style guide, Ernie comes up to Big Bird's elbow. NECA's heights make a bit more sense when you consider how they cheated the heights on the show. A true scale Big Bird would look a little too big on the shelf.

Yeah, a true to scale Big Bird would be too big.
