All comments about why aside, I think both sculpts are pretty good. Their MEGO figures are usually exaggerated features but this looks quality.

Sweating into the oldies. There are actually people that will buy this. I'm not one of them.

Agreed...this one looks WAY better than that Bob Ross figure that came out a little while back. I wonder if they're using the digital print tech here.

Yeah, despite ripping on this figure even I have to agree that the likeness is one of NECA's best ever.

It's a shame they nailed Richard Simmons but completely fucked up the new Ultimate Ripley sculpt so horribly. Priorities, people!

He almost reminds me of a Robot Chicken version of Richard. Especially the alternate head with the smile.

I just want to know why NECA can't put out more Weird Al figures???? There is a market for 15 different Iron Maiden figures???? but not Weird Al???

Robed (JEDI) Al, Fat (and skinny) Al, Like a Surgeon Al, EAT IT AL!! Pretty Fly for a White Guy AL, so many they could do.

Could go on and list what obscure 80s or 90s icons I'd like to see and probably buy but maybe another time. Just very obscure, its like if NECA made a Jack Lalanne, exercise version Jane Fonda, Denise Austin, or Rip Taylor figure, or...just a pass for me. Good for those niche fans though.

Weird Al "White and Nerdy" shelf warmed and rotted locally. Ended up being clearanced out for $10 and STILL sat there for a while.

Yeah they probably should've gone with an older 80's variant costume, but who knows. Maybe Al wanted that one.

I still think if they'd packed in a segway it would've sold better! They should've just reused the softgoods patterns for surgeon Freddy Krueger and made "Like a Surgeon" Al haha

I know they had a bunch more Weird Al planned. But the White and Nerdy one just didn't sell well at all.

That was an odd choice. All the other iconic outfits that 80s kids would remember, and they go with that. Know your audience.

While some 40 years too late to capitalize on his popularity, I can add one more entry on my list of things I never expected to see. Funnier still is the fact that NECA, per usual, seems to have taken the time and care needed to produce an impressive likeness and figure.

Box design seems austere, lacking any complimentary bio to describe him / explain who he is.

If someone doesn't already know who Richard Simmons is then a description on the packaging is not going to coax them into buying it.

I always liked Richard Simmons... have no idea why though. But man... 35 years from now... if Neca is still around... and like, humanity too... they are gonna be releasing some really weird people as action figures... like all the famous youtube people.

I'm almost tempted to get this just to pair him up with the Quint figure that's going to be coming out.
