Randy is probably glad SDCC is cancelled this year so that he doesn't have to face a bunch of outraged collectors in person.

Not just Randy. Every toy maker, company rep, and actor/actress are thrilled they don't have to do the "nerd gauntlet". It's easily one of the worst experiences for "celebrities", but an unfortunate necessary evil.

Having to pretend to fawn over a bunch of socially inept weirdos with bad hygiene and halitosis for several days straight? Yeah, not fun.

Was anyone actually able to order Casey Jones? The "Ship It" button displays for me, but I keep receiving the following message:

Item not added to your cart. Something went wrong, please try again.

I don't know if that means it's sold out or it's possible the inventory still wasn't loaded yet from a systems perspective...so there might still be hope.

Really exciting to see NECA being the first toy company to offer eBay exclusives. So nice of them!

Nearly half an hour of refreshing and clicking the "Ship It" button. Getting kind of tired of this...

I have no idea who rubbed you wrong, but maybe retirement should mean retired. Most companies like customers, you know, the people who pay their salaries. Most companies love trade shows, you know to get headlines and build sales. Struggling and new authors and companies love cons to get noticed and build, you know, customers.

Neca makes toys for toy collectors. These are adult collectibles and advertised as such. You for some reason feel everyone should fit into your bubbles. If you piss off the adult collectors your in business to serve then you are out of business. I have no idea why you think collectors should be treated like crap. You honestly y]think every celebrity hates their fans? Every company hates their customers? You are one of the most jaded people I’ve seen on these sites.

I like that Neca has gone silent now after all the hype about a "release date".

As long as the check clears, I don't see Randy doing much about this "licensing" issue.

At this point I may have better luck on a local toy run to all the Targets in my city today and tomorrow than repeatedly failing to "ship it" thru this worthless website.

I've known many of the behind the scenes people at several toy companies. I've had drinks with them. I've been in or around the industry for decades. They don't HATE their customers. Never said they did. Just the conventions are often headaches. Like I said, necessary evils. Meeting the genuinely thankful customers they love. Unfortunately, the vast majority of what they get are a lot of "christmas lists" and complaints... and the before-mentioned BO. LOTS of BO. Number 1 issue. That's all.

Agreed. Getting kind of tired of his negative comments directed toward the rest of the people on this board in every thread. Not all of us are socially awkward with poor hygiene issues, so lay off the generalizations. Bragging about your decades of so called experience in the industry and with the "I'm above the rest of you and know more" attitude does not justify insulting the rest of us.

I'd love to know how exactly it sold out given that seemingly nobody was able to order them.

I have seen Brian from super7 go online immediately and announce more production of items. From motu to GPK cards. I have seen Val from heman.org go above and beyond to get exclusives to fans world wide from his powe-con.I have seen Todd mcfarlane read and respond to every single comment on his kick starter try to keep everyone up to date and fixing things people didn’t like. I saw hasbro hear loud and clear that marvel wanted a haslab, that Star Wars 3.75 inch collectors want more and getting exclusives to many outlets. Amazon bugged the Star Wars exclusive release and hasbro stepped right up and sold them on their site. I saw toyguru from mattycollector go into second and third productions to meet demand and offer enough con exclusives to satisfy everyone. For god sakes they did presale subscriptions. I saw dorkside collectibles step up and say they need more workers to get items out faster and are working to fix the issue.

Don’t for one second think that neca should be above that. With out collectors, Randy would need a new career.

This was supposed to be listed 2 pm Eastern time. I refreshed after 2 pm every 20 to 30 seconds. Nothing ever allowed me to add any items to my cart and then around 210 pm. Instead of saying Sold Out. It said Sold Out at all the stores near me. So, I just assume no more until they re-release.

There is an ignore option for a reason. I'm just giving you a little insight. You see conventions from the fanboy viewpoint. It's a lot of shine and glitter. From the standpoint of the companies, it's not as "wow" and a LOT of headache.

I see them more from an industry/marketing viewpoint to promote products and encourage sales. I'm not a fanboy going to them and nagging line runners about my personal wishlists. Again, don't jump to conclusions and judge the rest of us. My comment about Randy being happy to avoid angry collectors at SDCC was in jest, but to a degree I think it's also valid given the repeated distribution issues with their products this year and how I'm sure he would have heard repeated complaints from people at SDCC. I also place part of the blame on Playmates/Nickelodeon for holding this license hostage and forcing companies like NECA to limit how and where they sell their products like this instead of directly competing on regular toy shelves and producing enough to meet demand.
